I like Williams too but its all about FIT. Who fits the best with what system and in the system we have now.....CJ FITS LIKE A GLOVE! Im sure at this pace Slowik will get a HC job but like in San Fran, the system never changes.

Right? This is Stroud's thread. Our rookie is now #8 in the league, and has only played 4 NFL games. Be happy! Take that next year's QB draft garbage to another thread. We don't need another QB.
CJ is proving it in the pros. That holds extreme value as compared to someone flashing extreme potential against subpar pac 12 competition. I get the Caleb Williams hype. I really do, but there is risk there and we have seen the next big things fail time and time again. There are red flags about Williams when his first read isn't there. Its just hard to see it when his best trait comes in to play and he can play backyard football. Give me the guy who we know is a good culture/leader. Who gets the ball out on time with precision. Typically, it involves less turnovers, negative plays etc and thats how you win football games.

No one on this board thinks that is a top 20 schedule. It will be evident by the end of the season. Your Maye fluffing is desperate after being so wrong on Stroud. We will see how Maye does against Clemson, Miami, and Duke.
Cut Smoak some slack man, Dude admitted Stroud had the NFL goods which is spreading like wildfire now. He can like Maye and respect Stroud. But the Texans are going to start building around CJ’s talent and Demeco’s vision on defense. So the next few drafts will speak volumes.
