In 2 seasons, only 1 of 8 Wild Card 3 game series went to game 3, and that one still had the Game 1 winner win easily in Game 3. I think they were hoping for more of the 2020 playoff WC round where 2 of 8 series went to game 3 with both teams coming back from down 0-1. But that season may not reflect a natural expectation for a full, normal length regular season.
The lesser of two Ryan's relies on a flat angular fastball. As long as we bring that awareness, shouldn't matter. Not much spin. Not much velocity. It's the confusing angle that sometimes gets people.
Just rewatched the highlights from the Twins win yesterday. Twins' pitching makes me nervous, which is not something that could be said about the Twins for decades. Sonny Gray looked strong and Duran looked absolutely nasty.
I say open the roof this weekend to change the environment. They sucked at home this year under a closed roof. Temps will be in the mid to upper 70 with partly cloudy skies at game time. Sunday night game has zero excuses not to open it.
