Would be nice for the Texans to mimic the Astros

JR - You know I love your posts, but you left out our best OL over 4 games--Patterson!

Good stuff. I am 50:50 on trading CJ for Caleb Williams cause Caleb is that good and is built like a new age prototype QB. I would not trade him for Maye though.

I still think Maye is the prototype, even more so than Williams.
But I think Stroud is our guy, his accuracy is elite

Thoughts on Michael Penix Jr? I think he's closed the gap considerably on those two guys.

Dude I can't watch him for more than 30 seconds. His act is like those obnoxious "Weekend Blowout/4th of July Sale" local commercials except he keeps doing it for 60min straight.

I've been watching Michael Penix since his days at IU. He had a major injury all four years there, including ACL tears twice. Last year he stayed healthy at Washington and went next level.

His arm and accuracy are amazing. IMO, he's better than Drake Maye but definitely not at the level of Caleb Williams..

His injury history will be such a huge red flag for NFL teams, he's a late 1st round selection, at best.

As much as I love CJ and think he can be top 3 in the league, even I’d consider Caleb Williams. Dude is probably the best QB prospect I’ve ever seen, thrilled with CJ tho

No doubt. It’s a stacked class.
I think the top two just are more physically gifted

That’s fair. I personally like Maye overall skillset better, but there is no doubt Williams is special.

We have our guy. I’m content and happy saying that. Stroud is doing it in the pros. Williams and Maye haven’t yet.

Penix is good but he isn’t Maye in terms of talent or arm.
Maye was literally the highest graded QB in the country inside the pocket last year and has legit 4.5 speed

    Next years class is stacked.
Williams, Maye, Ewers, Penix, McCarthy, Sanders, Dart and more.
At this point, I’m happy with CJ.
We have a good idea of what he can be.

    I still hate his representation

Ewers is not good, he is not that impressive even though he has Sark and a stacked team. I feel like he's going to be the reason UT doesn't win the title IMO.

Sanders is good I don't see him having NFL calibre arm talent, just me though.

McCarthy to me is a backup QB or fringe starter at best.

Penix I don't like his throwing motion and he has forever in the pocket to throw it seems like.

Caleb Williams is by far the only one who jumps out to me. I have not watched Maye.
