Amen now with KPJ not in the way can now probably get consistent 20-25 minutes per game. If he is the generational pg we think he is then he should be getting around 10 ppg on 4+ apg with those minutes. Not saying those 10 ppg will come efficiently. Probably not but I can see 4 apg for Amen easily now that Amen is going to get a lot of KPJ's usage.
Really don't care if he's 6'10 or 7'... All that matters is if he continues to get stronger, more athletic (both obtainable at that age) and most importantly starts hitting his jumpers. Learn and implement Udoka's defense. If so, we're all good there.
Udoka said several times that he has seen "much lesser athletes be great defenders" and praised Alpi's IQ. Implies that he doesn't think at all that Alpi "doesn't have the physical tools" to be a great defender.
Sengun on his 3PT shooting: "I worked all summer (on it) and now my teammates and coaches are telling me you need to shoot. This didn't happen last year like this."
Its really hard to tell in this format, I went ahead and took the 2021 picture and placed on top of the 2023 for a more accurate result.
Good to hear some praise for a change. Not sure whether this method is better than Silas’s though. Maybe ******** your player works better, who knows.
All I see is that his beard has grown in two years. Definitely shows that his body is maturing. And now he no longer steps on people's feet like that 2021 version in the pic.
"coach is telling me we need you to shoot..it didn't happen last year like this...now they are telling me shoot it shoot it shoot it so I feel more confidence right now" Nice to have a coach that tells him to shoot when he's open rather than encouraging him not to and scolding him for it.
Silas did all he could to try and stop Sengun from becoming an absolute super star..... He only loved KPJ
