Me: "Who the f*** is Carter?"

Looks up stats: rookie phenom who posted a 1.050 OPS in his first and only month of MLB

The Rays offense is pulling an Astros offense. ;)

Rays are pathetic. Offense, defense, fielding, pitching, stadium, crowd, everything. Rangers lucked out playing this team instead of the Twins.

It would be pretty fun to have a Rangers/Astros ALCS…

But it would be way more fun to see the Rangers choke this game and series away somehow.

lol @ lucked out. I guess chocking away the division/stumbling into the postseason and how salty they are supports that

They absolutely wanted to play TB. It was all part of the plan

That was before said people saw the Rangers win game 1 and be up 5 against the Rays in game 2.

Yeah I saw that but didn't agree with everyone else. I'm assuming they didn't they a look at their regular season match-ups. Twins were on fire toward the end of the season and played the Rangers very well all season. Contrast that with the Rays who got swept by the Rangers just a weeks ago.

Rays haven't played the Rangers since July. that hardly qualifies as just weeks ago

Point still stands. Rangers made easy work of them vs the Twins who they lost the season series against.

not really. you're trying to use this recency bias as if Texas chose to play TB and that they weren't significant underdogs in this series

Those tens of fans in Tampa are being let down with another terrible performance from the home team.

Too be fair, I didn't care who they played. I was just laughing at the fact how they managed to squander the AL West to the Astros and then had to fly across country to play in day games for a wild card...

Tampa made that trip that much further. They own Tampa though. And they are showing it. Tampa playing super sloppy baseball isn't helping them any either.

I didn't look at the odds. Obviously the Rangers didn't choose to be in the WC round at all. I'm pretty sure they thought they would take the division but it slipped through their fingers.
