Our defense should be pretty phenominal at steals. With FVV, Brooks, Amen, Tari, and Sengun with his outlet passes we should be much better in transition. Our half-court should be better with FVV and Sengun and eventually Amen facilitating. I’m optimistic we will be competing for the play-in.
I thought bad defense would usually result in faster pace because the other team wouldn't have to work that hard to score.
Good teams pick up the pace, bad teams get dragged down and manipulated to fast pace. Those games were funny, I remember games like in the Madison Square Garden. Rockets steal the ball, Knicks steal it back, turn over, turnover, turnover, turnover.
One of the most important tasks Ime has in front of him is finding more than one way to win. Sure, you start with one way. But if you expect to go anywhere in the playoffs, you better have different looks to throw at your opponent. Not sure its fair to expect that in Ime's first season, or is it?
Our pace last year was woefully slow. Constant dragging to bring the ball upcourt. I think we feared running because it would expose how little structure and teamwork the previous coaching staff wanted to do. Walking was seen as the only way to avoid turnovers. That was a terrible strategy
There need to be some damn PhD candidates in Organizational Psychology watching this season. Could be a train wreck but the attitude, the confidence, the intention, all look off the charts. Would make a good case study in LEADERSHIP if they actually make the playoffs.
I know I'm excited about Ime Udoka, his staff and the team we're building when I saw this and was like "FOCK YEAH!!!" and I literally have no idea who this guy is. BUT WE GOT HIM!!!!
you make your pick yet? the longer it takes the less confident you look. Go boldly where no only fan has gone before!
This is one of those, I will get one of my friends hired to work with me. Resume is longer than Bobans nose. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Bostic
