dude has already become a joke... there are a few diehards that put on blinders regarding his narcissism and just focus on his padded stats - but at this point in the game, I think most of us see him for the self absorbed piece of crap he is... smdh
Steve A Smith just said "reliable source lol" That James Harden talked with Udoka previously and talked himself out of a max deal as he wanted to be the scoring champ again. Not saying that is all facts (and Rockets would easily say there was never a max deal on the table if they did talk), but something in there could be.
Seems weird that there are tweets about Udoka not liking Harden when they were together on the Brooklyn Nets.
It's sad. All Harden had to do was keep his mouth shut during his stay with the Nets and he would've been paid everything he ever wanted. Even after going to the 76ers if he would've just tested free agency without talking to the media then he would be that many more years richer. Sounds like he really had his heart set on going back to Houston as a fallback plan and was wounded it didn't happen. Now he's going berserk.
This guy is the #1 poster child for not handling his physical decline well lol. Such denial, sad to see.
Harden thinking that promising to play at his individualistic, Rockets glory days-level would impress the coach. He is so out of touch it is frightening.
He has always had a weird mentality. He's very aloof and kinda lives in his own world. That's why he gets that thousand yard stare when games aren't going his way. His mind retreats to the Harden Realm. This is why he never appeared to be the #1 player on a championship squad... and Embiid is a big man-child, so not the ideal costar for him. On another note, god I miss CP3 being the yin to his yang, shimmying on Curry, getting in the refs' faces, trading dagger 3s, carving up the open mid-range jumpers, yelling at the bench while Capela, Ariza and Tucker locked everyone down. RIP 2018.
Who knows if this is true at all, but it tracks with the current narrative. There were several reports of mutual interest leading up to free agency and then very suddenly the reports were that the Rockets were completely out. Udoka was hired in April and the reports of Houston preferring FVV didn't pop up until June. Surely, Udoka and the front office discussed free agency prior to his hire. The only thing that could have killed the Harden interest in between those months is Harden himself.
