Biden’s policies are definitely benefitting rural areas and by extension Red states. Unfortunately this isn’t winning him any political benefits because so much of politics is about posturing and tribal loyalties. It doesn’t matter that Trump policies were disastrous to many ag communities.

Personally, I hate that we look at politics this way. It's to benefit our citizens in our country, regardless of party affiliation.

Announced a new train project which will build a new line in Nebraska. This new project will employ more workers than the keystone pipeline project biden canceled which right wingers throw a fit about.

Biden won't get another vote from Nebraska for building a new line. Spend that money else where if I was them

What @ElPigto said but also because rural America is an important part of the country for economic and many other reasons. Part of the strength of the US is out ag and other natural
    Resource sectors. While rural
America has been losing population it still
Is a significant population and for the countries long term stability it’s important to pay attention to both rural and urban America.

This is an op-ed from Bloomberg, arguably, the most business-centric news outlet worldwide.

For Manufacturers, Bidenomics Tops MAGAnomics Every Time

Who has been more successful in bringing mfg jobs back to America, Bidenomics or Trump's MAGaomics?
The broad tariffs envisioned by Trump simply don’t provide the same bang for the buck as Biden’s targeted incentives.

Biden’s two major incentives come from the Inflation Reduction Act, which provides an estimated $212 billion in tax incentives for corporations to invest in clean energy, and the CHIPs Act, which provides $52 billion for companies
that expand semiconductor activity in the US. Of the two, it’s the CHIPS Act that has produced the most pronounced effect on US manufacturing investment. The semiconductor industry has announced more than $200 billion in new domestic manufacturing projects, and construction spending on factories has risen 50% since Biden took office in 2021.

The rise in factory building following the CHIPs Act dwarfs that of Trump's tariffs

By comparison, there was a modest 10% bump in manufacturing investment after Trump increased tariffs on commodities and manufactured goods from China
through a series of executive orders beginning in 2018.

If America is committed to reviving its domestic manufacturing capacity, then the only effective means will be through direct construction-related incentives. That means taking the most impactful part of Bidenomics -- the CHIPS act -- and
expanding on it, rather than returning to the weak and economically costly tactic of raising tariffs.

This is why a strong regulatory pro consumer anti corporate agency is needed. This suit is bonkers @StupidMoniker

You think a hyperactive government regulator should be libertarians role model?

Is it a libertarian role model or an anti-libertarian government intrusion into business and personal lives that saves us from a libertarian shithole? You are literally arguing both back-to-back.

why such a hangup over labels

    A better question is

why self-proclaimed “libertarians”, you for eg, don't care what is good for the economy?

judging from your many posts, you just want everything to fit into a hyperthetical model---a panacea on paper, with no real-life examples---to which you subscribe

This is an amazing article you should read which tells you the importance of strong regulation. When you folks @Space Ghost talk about this libertarian values how do you not have fighting fraud nd monopolies as the #1?

You can't have a society where theres unlimited monopolies and consumers have no rights. It's ****ing dumb

When have I ever said I was anti government? Yes, the current political parties are absolute trash.

Regulations are a good thing, but they also can be misused and abused.

When have you said you were pro government….?

You BTC posts in that thread suggest you are pretty squarely anti government.
