Can someone help me understand what the judge's ruling meant last week before a trial happened and why they are still having a trial if a judge has said that fraud actually happened and why he said fraud happened if a trial hadn't happened yet?

Previously the Trump organization was on trial and found guilty of fraud. They were fined the maximum (1.6m) and I think barred from doing business in New York.

Now Trump is personally being sued by the city of New York for 250m for the profits earned from fraud.

It looks like it's all the same trial. The first ruling was a fine and this is to determine how much the organization has to pay out of the $250 million James is asking for among other things.

I guess I could have googled that before asking

The Dems want to imprison their political rival for the rest of his life, and also take all of his wealth. They have the power to destroy their enemies, and what are you gonna do about it? Look at how gleeful they all are.

this is terrible for the county and will not end well

I'm sure they're laughing because Mr. "I could shoot someone on 5th Ave and get away with it" is finally being held responsible for a fraction of the crimes he's committed. You know your favorite rapist pedo president Drumph Trump. Lock him up. Lock him up.

The Democrats have not put Trump on trial. They aren't conducting the trial, and they aren't taking his trial. It is the legal system, and law enforcement which isn't controlled or even heavily populated by Democrats.

The system can hold a politician accountable for crimes he committed, fraud that he committed, and people from both parties are entitled to be happy about it. If people from only one party are happy about that, then it says something about the other party and their supposed support for law enforcement, and the constitution of these United States.

It sounds like Trumps own chief of staff wants him imprisoned.

and you’ll still vote for him.

What is the fraud or crime in this case? Did anyone get robbed, defrauded, swindled or scammed?

Yes. You should check the first page, I'm sure you can find the charges there.

Please name the lenders, insurers and taxpayers? The fact that I have to ask you these ridiculous questions just shows what kind of a farce this civil suit is.
