Nope, click my link.....it is literally in the story. Mine is the Chronicle, yours is not.....it is Texas Sports nation...and probably has additive stuff. Actually yours is an empty link. DD
Then it is getting more bizarre if Stone is using the league as excuse to not make a move....banking heavily on nullifying a contract..... Then the league is just playing with the Rockets and then saying well, you should have cut him when you could, we are not going to interfere with his contract, we just suspend him for x amount of games.
Lulz, mental gymnastics. Dude, you have to accept Feigen wrote they can waive. go to https://www.houstonchronicle.com it’s the latest top news story on the left, circled in red https://www.houstonchronicle.com/texas-sports-nation/rockets/article/kevin-porter-jr-won-t-return-to-rockets-preseason-18401296.php
It would have been a major plus, if he just said 2 things. We condemn anything related to DV Porter Junior will never play for the Rockets again. Ever. (he refused to comment if he would be back later)
mental gymnastics, lulz. Are you saying we can't quote Feigen's article of today? Is this how you debate in the D&D?
Glad the total number of chances that Porter remains is zero. Move on. That's Stone washing his hands of a bad decision. Addition by subtraction. It's the toughest math for a GM to learn.
Best news in a while. Although everyone knows this is the inevitable outcome, nice to finally get confirmation from Stone. Buh bye. Won’t miss you.
it’s good that they’ve informed him KPJr is one of the dumbest people around who squanders every chance he gets…maybe he’ll get a training camp invite from a team a few years from now
Jackson Gatlin asked the tough question. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/38548898/kevin-porter-barred-rockets-domestic-violence-arrest Stone was asked whether the Rockets knew of any unpublicized problems in his past before signing him to the extension. "There weren't any issues like this that I'm aware of," Stone said. Stone was asked whether he believes Porter will ever be part of the team again. "I can't answer that and stay in compliance with the policy," Stone said. "So I think this is now a league matter." Interesting. DD
This is an important lesson for Tilman to learn. I think his paternal instincts were tapped into with KPJ and now he knows that playing captain save a hoe is a bad way to run a team. Moving forward, this really opens up the direction we can go with the team. I always found KPJ and Green to be redundant. I am excited to see who we get as a defensive minded compliment to Green Mamba. No Christopher. No Porter. Green's gotta become a man.
That was an effective way to stop them from asking more questions.....just say I am not aware of other issues.
I can't understand why some of my CF brothers have such a strong desire to be right all the time!! I am not clairvoyant but after what has transpired with Head Honcho I am going to go out on a limb and say... Head Honcho is not going to ever play in the NBA again! He's been Kaepernick'd! I'm 98% sure he will do time for his lack of self control! I'm 99% sure that the only way he avoids jailtime is if he buys off the victim! It wouldn't surprise me.... I'm 100% sure that the Rockets are trying to make lemonade out of lemons! I'm 1000% sure that CF will keep arguing about "taste great - less filling" GO ROCKETS!!! ....... ....... .......
Stone graduated from the DD school of Double Denials. 1. Nobody told me about this. 2. I can't do anything until the league tells me to.
That is not in the article.....read the actual article in the link....stop using mental gymnastics, the dealing with Porter is in the leagues hands. ----------------------full article below------------------------ Rockets GM: Kevin Porter Jr. won't return to team after arrest The guard's future in Houston is in serious doubt as he faces felony assault charges. By Michael ShapiroOct 2, 2023 Houston Rockets general manager Rafael Stone said Monday point guard Kevin Porter Jr. "could not be part of the Houston Rockets" after Porter was arrested last month and charged with felony assault and strangulation. Porter, 23, was arrested in New York after reportedly causing multiple injuries to his girlfriend, former WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick. Per a criminal compliant obtained by the Associated Press' Michael R. Sisak, Gondrezick said Porter "punched her repeatedly in the face with a closed fist, cutting her above the right eye and causing bruising and substantial pain to her face." Stone said Monday he contacted Porter's representatives shortly after his arrest. Stone added Porter is not with the Rockets as of Monday, and he will not join the team for training camp or the preseason. "The allegations against him are deeply troubling," Stone told the media at the Toyota Center. "Going back a few weeks, as soon as I heard the allegations, I informed his representatives that he could not be part of the Houston Rockets. He has not been with the team or around it since that time." Porter is currently under investigation by the NBA league office, who will likely levy a punishment (potentially a lengthy suspension) in the coming weeks. The Rockets are not permitted to release Porter prior to the NBA's ruling, though they are reportedly eyeing a different route to cut ties with Porter. Houston is reportedly looking to trade Porter and his $15.8 million salary for 2023-24 to another team, potentially attaching draft capital along with Porter in a deal for a capable rotation player. The team assuming Porter's contract will likely then be the team to release him, earning perhaps a few second-round picks for their trouble. Houston signed Porter to a four-year, $82.5 million contract before last season. That contract is only guaranteed through 2023-24, with partial guarantees and team options set for the final three years. DD
