Because at the time, we played faster with Bruno. He gave us a better look defensively given Sengun's our poorest defender

    Fantasy post

Another fantasy post. Jalen Green is our most talented player and flourish with a traditional PG next to him

Because he's not. Jalen, Jabari & Amen is your core. Sengun's a solid piece. But he's more Luis Scola who I LOVED as a Rocket, but was a solid role player.

These are some of the dumbest most delusional questions for Stone

Hopefully Jalen shows up with rainbow painted nails, Dillon walks in shirtless with sunglasses and already talking down on Luka. FVV claims this team as his, Jabari looking beefed up ready to play stretch 5. Amen and Cam talking like vets. Sengun ready to take more credit for wins and losses as a first option. Udoka focused on the team and not the married women in the corporate offices.

Clean slate time and with any luck this team will mimic the success from the Texans in bringing in a young team with no expectations of contending and making the rest of the league take notice.

Will the big brains here be able to work together and co-exist? LOL nevermind. Go ROX!!

Haha gosh I'd love to and I do believe in Amen that much, but writing optimistic chapters about Jalen has created such an avalanche of pessimism to deal with that I'm not sure I can handle double that!

"Well that's why we tried to start Bruno Fernando last year but injuries forced our hand and we had to turn to Alperen Sengun to play center in his stead. His perversion and distracting presence is believed to be the primary cause for stress on Kevin Porter Jr and largely why he lashed out the way he did in New York. We are currently working on trying to transfer the charges from Kevin over onto Alperen but it's a lengthy process and we hope that justice will eventually be served and Kevin can come back to take his rightful place as the head honcho of the team."

I am almost sure that everyone will only ask softball questions; and if someone asks a tougher question, Stone will just waffle around and do his meaningless lawyer talk, and say he cannot comment on an ongoing investigation, etc. blabla.

The ABSOLUTE MINIMUM would be to make two things clear:

    1. Domestic violence is never acceptable.
    2. Kevin Porter Jr. will not play in a Houston Rockets jersey again.

I will donate/Venmo $100.00 to any media member who asks that BimaThug question word for word to either Rafael Stone or Bubba Gump.

    "Sengun" is our poorest defender?

Maybe he looked that way to you because he couldn't guard two players at once. Stuck between trenches with no cover: sliding over to prevent Green's man (who'd just blown past Green, again, on the perimeter) from reaching the rim, or staying put on his own guy. Let Green's guard dunk ("Sengun didn't roll to help!"), or let his own guy dunk ("Sengun should have stayed on his man!")

Jalen Green's defense was stunningly bad. Screaming-Japanese-running-away-from-marauding-Godzilla bad. If he can just get it to "okay," it'd be a great improvement.

Sengun, the "solid role player", has discernible basketball IQ that your favorite Rockets don't. I'm not placing anyone above the other. But "and flourish with a traditional point guard" will be true for them all. Especially given that Sengun is already a gifted passer himself. Maybe now he won't have to deal with the freeze-out so much.

this is really the million dollar question. I get that ownership and management ae going to make mistakes sometimes. I get that rebuilding (and especially “tanking”) are painful. But what I don’t understand is how you tank a reputation like Houston’s, built over decades, and create the most toxic culture league-wide that actually repels good players from wanting to come here, in just 3 years at the helm.

yes we have young talent. We were gonna have young talent regardless. But we didn’t have to build on a foundation of bad character guys, virtually zero veterans, and the worst coach in franchise history. It is not alarmist to want Stone gone.
