So what’s the plan tomorrow? Are we hoping for a win and risking the Blue Jays losing causing us to play the Rays? Or we good with losing to ensure we play the Twins? I mean of course we want division but Rangers more than likely will win tomorrow given the fact that they actually will try to win and Seattle couldn’t care less. Also Seattle may be so salty they may throw the game anyway to screw us.
Seattle is 100% throwing the game, I don't think The Astros care too much about the division. From the beginning of the season Dusty said they were hoping to get in via wild card due to so many injuries. The Astros should not go all out tomorrow, too risky if someone gets injured. If they win so be it but no reason to force it, however thou Dusty will for sure play Diaz and I'm not sure if Arizona can stop him from hitting at least one bomb out...
Eh, I was close (posted after the KC sweep). Now we just need the Mariners and Astros to take care of business tomorrow.
He didn’t make anything up. You don’t even have any worthy baseball takes. You’re a ****ing idiot. Please go **** yourself.
It takes a special type of narcissist to enter a forum during the last few weeks of the season, say nothing of any substance, start a new thread with a long drunken ramble, toss around a lot of logician terms he doesn’t understand, and then question everyone else’s fandom. Anyway, on topic - the signal for how the Mariners will play will come early tomorrow US time. We know Kirby does NOT like to play when it doesn’t matter. If they pull him out, they are throwing the game. If he pitches they are playing to win.
I'm over here gleefully celebrating an Astros playoff birth! What's wrong, you upset about something? Didn't you want to be wrong all those times, Mr. Astros fan? Or did you really want this to be true: Either celebrate with me in the fact that you were wrong, or face the alternative. Go 'Stros!!! #NotOurYear #SeasonOver #YourFeelingsAreValid #BunchOfQuitters
Why couldn't the damn Blue Jays win today? Jesus. I either want the division or the 6th seed. Texas, Houston win and Toronto lose, we end up with the much tougher Tampa/Baltimore route vs Minnesota/Texas.
you’re not a real fan though. Also, you’re boring. You bring nothing of interest. Abreu has sucked all year. Check out his numbers. If he turns it around now, I’m sure I’m happier about it than you. Real fans are both critical and celebratory. It takes nothing to just sit back and arm yourself with results, after the fact. Moreover, your defense of Abreu, as if he hasn’t been **** 80% of the season, is coming off as stupidity. He himself said after the game that he has had a **** season. If he had hit better, like the astros paid him to, then we would’ve locked up the playoffs earlier. I notice you didn’t say **** when he was leaving guys on base the last few series. You just waited. And as soon as he did something you couldnt wait to blow your wad over it. You sound like a dumbass. You aren't an educated fan. You like to pick fights during crucial moments in games which tells me that you’re not really even into the game. You peacock around here like a complete buffoon. This is probably the last time I address you (because you drag threads down) other than to just call you stupid. I’m sure that opportunity will come up a lot.
Bro, I read his fallacy essay this morning. I’ve seen very few people that were more desperate to appear smart in front of complete strangers on a baseball forum. There are a few here that do it, but not to the extent I’ve seen with him.
Its always late at night in the US time zones when he pulls this stuff. He’s likely drunk or high and full of that odd combination of self importance and crippling insecurity. I’ve switched to feeling sorry for him.
It's great seeing these guys show they've been there and done that. No goggles needed tonight, they fancy.
You think Seattle hates the Astros more than Arlington? I figure they hate both a lot. It would probably feel better to knock the Rangers out of the division by winning.
Another fantastic season for Tuve (sans GP) .315 (4th career highest) / .398 (2nd) / .531 (4th) / .929 (2nd) / 154 OPS+ (3rd) - 2,000th career hit - Cycle - FOUR consecutive ABs with a HR 162 pace 138 runs (career high) / 31 HR (career tie) / 94 RBIs (2nd) / 81 BB (career high) Career-high K rate is the only caveat. Awesome season and hopefully another awesome postseason run.
