Far be it from me as a Baylor grad and UH law grad to speak into it too much, but I feel confident your Horns win. I think you’re as good as advertised. @Major and I think @Buck Turgidson know I broke ranks going to Baylor…my brother went to UT and my dad was a huge Royal fan, even though he couldn’t really afford to go anywhere but UH. I was with my dad when VY crossed that goal line, and I kid you not, the man cried…so of course I did too. Ironically, the day of my first date with the girl that’s now my wife was the game my freshman year that was Grant Teaff’s last game ever, and he beat Texas. I’m complicated.
Idk what it is , but I never have full confidence in UT.. Even when they're up and dominating, I sense a letdown coming..
Offense is doing their thing. Defense has been totally disappointing. KU's offense is the best they've seen this year, even with a backup QB. I hope Sanders isn't hurt too badly, didn't look good.
The score is closer than the game feels. Kansas got lucky on that advanced fumble TD, otherwise, their offense isn't doing much outside a 15 yd option here and there. Texas struggles in the red zone isn't anything new. They need to improve for sure. But they've been moving the ball down field pretty well. Not gonna knock a college kicker for missing a 50 yd attempt. But that interception kinda hurts. Looked like Ewers had Worthy on the outside for a good gain.
No reason to lose 4 seconds setting up that 1st down play. Questionable why Sark didn't call a timeout.
I was just looking at the halftime stats and thought "how the **** is this a 6 point game?" Leipold is a great coach, he will get a big time job soon.
They wasted almost 2 minutes by not using their TOs. Luckily that means they have 6 in the 2nd half, right?
There was no guarantee the drive would continue. No reason to give Kansas the ball close to midfield with 1.5 minutes and timeouts.
