GP x 1.45 (for Maldy specifically) = the answer 9 innings with 9 batters = 1 specific batter will end an inning on average Then adjust for batter's offensive prowess The better the batter, the lesser chance he ends the inning. The worse the batter the greater chance he does. Maldy sucks so clearly above 1 (~1.5) seems highly feasible. A player like Yordan is sub-1 --- 0.8-ish
