    They stole from the Etruscans and the Greeks, wholesale. Where the Romans truly exceled, where they contributed their own instead of using the best of others, was in engineering. The results of that engineering remains across much of Europe, in Britain, in the Middle East, in North Africa. Their invention of a new form of concrete played a key role.

    The bastards. I hope they catch who did it and put them in prison for several years. That'll probably take luck. Perhaps one of them will brag to the wrong person and a tip will bring the police to their door.

    It was a great place to visit.
