epitome of two losers who wouldn't do a damn thing. if only I was there to hilariously laugh at them going home oh so early. It's classic dbags like these who attend sporting events and end up on the wrong end of vids
No wonder I couldn't remember. That was a month ago. Brantley just topped the single game hit charts for September, and it's great to see, when it's do or die.
I'm with you here. Of course I want to get in the playoffs in any way, shape, or form. Just get into the tournament and anything can happen. However, reality is this team is running on fumes, even Framber I think is getting fatigued. I am almost at Division or bust, this team needs a bye so badly. I would hate for us to survive the WC round shooting our best bullets, only to limp into the ALDS and get smoked, especially if its those GD Rangers who will ignore the fact that at our best they couldn't carry our bags.
What are the chances we can keep Neris this upcoming free agency? He's been by far our best reliever this season. It's looking like a pretty weak FA class so I'm sure another team is going fork up big money. It's a shame we may have to see Neris leave while being saddled with Montero.
There is 0 chance he takes his player option. He will want a deal similar to Montero's (3yrs / $34.5M) and will get it, despite his age because he has been better for longer. @Nook has mentioned the Astros interested in Hader and if that happens there simply won't be any money for another high priced reliever. However, if they are willing to spend on Hader and miss out he may he a very good fallback option.
Abreu has been just as good if not better than Neris. He's now near 30 innings and counting where he hasn't even allowed a run Neris has been nails but Abreu has been right there too having a great year
Luckily Abreu is still under team control for the next few years. Neris' impending free agency makes me dislike Montero's deal that much more...because the FO is now kind of boxed in if they want to keep him.
Hader just straight up refused to pitch more than one inning in a diva-like manner. This front office tends to care about clubhouse chemistry post-Luhnow...
