That’s one of the sanest ads I’ve heard from Republicans and 100 percent agree. What is your issue with it?

My issue is that the Ukraine and its people are being wrecked and given false hope that we will support them "for as long as it takes" to fight against Russia a vastly more powerful country for our neo-con foreign policy.

    LOL

Silly me - I would think that the invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops and the killing of Ukrainians, and the genocide of Ukrainians would be evidence that perhaps they are not pawns - but the ACTUAL people that are suffering, and are the ones that are being eliminated and marginalized by an invading nation.

Most people, especially in that part of the world are not cowards - they want to fight for their culture, their country, their families and their history.

This is all really simple. Unprovoked, Russia invaded Ukraine because they want the land and the economic upside of the land - they are the bad guys, they are the aggressors - they are the ones continuing the invasion, they are the ones attempt to commit genocide. It isn't the USA, it isn't Ukraine, it isn't the Western allies - it isn't anyone else: it is just Russia.

Currently Russia is getting its ass handed to it by the Ukrainians. Since the summer of 2022, the Russia has been losing ground in Ukraine. It is an open question what the state of the war will be in January 2025, when the winner of the 2024 POTUS election winner is sworn in ... but there is a non-zero chance that Ukraine will be occupying Crimea.

You start with a false premise like the one you have - and you end with a false conclusion.

Where does Sam get this idea that Russia is losing so badly that they have no option?

I think maybe he stopped acquiring info on the war since he last read some NYT articles last Fall.

You’re framing it as if the US is pressuring Ukraine to prolong the conflict, rather than Ukraine seeking assistance from the US and other nations to defend itself against an invasion.

From reality. I know you're just trying to get in a cheap dig - but Daily Kos has been probably the best aggregator of content about the war there is.

    https://www.dailykos.com/groups/The Ukraine updates

Markos is a former artilleryman so he's got a pretty good handle on things. It's not surprising that the Daily kos runs the best coverage of this type of thing. Fighting fascism is what Democrats have done since the New Deal days.

Where did you get the idea that Russia's winning - Trump? Tucker? Elon?

Did you know that if you make too many left turns you end up going to the right? Look around you and see where you are.

When your closest allies here are Matt Gaetz and Marjorie taylor greene - you have gone too far.

This guy is mad that Ukraine has been given hope at not being slaughtered rather than just being slaughtered quietly.

Good god, I'm embarrassed for you.

President @glynch "Hello Ukraine, in order to prove you are not pawns, I have decided to sacrifice you to a homicidal group of thugs hell bent on committing as many crimes against you as is humanly possible ! You are welcome for your newfound self actualization!"

If Europe didn't go all-in on their idiotic plan for green energy, the playing field would be very different. If they didn't demonize nuclear energy, shutter their reactors and instead doubled down on nuclear, Russian energy would not be so important.

Instead, we have the 3-man clown show trying to draw us into a global conflict.

Two can play this game. E.g Nook et al "it is very simple...bad guys good guys unprovoked" only cowards would not rather die or have their country completely destroyed if the alternative was to return to an existence somewhat better than the average Ukraine experienced until 1991.

Well it is certainly in the interest some Americans for instance those owning defense stocks, or I suppose the satisfaction of nneo-con idologues, but for the average American? I would say no. Even if one speculates how it helps keep China down.

Like Sam I think his last reading was from the NYT gatekeepers last Fall, so he expects a quick Ukraine military victim and a collapse of Russia with Putin deposed.

They are losing, they barely have any forces left, the entire country doesn't want to be sent to the "MEAT GRINDER" they are only holding on because they heavily mined the territory.....Russia has blocked themselves in, they can't even advance.

The question is where are you getting your information? Why are you always the COWARDLY LION in any discussion about conflict.

Yes, war sucks, but Russia can end it by simply leaving, you don't just keep giving bullies what they want - I am shocked at you tbh, what are you always so afraid of?

Matt Gaetz is the last guy to rail against corruption in order to score points.

He probably bets on his under/over for getting indicted during his term.

You can be remarkably ignorant. "Russia is no direct threat to our country." What a ridiculous thing to say. I'll say the same thing to you that I have said to @glynch in the past, who is a much nicer fellow. Broaden your sources. You read like you are crammed into the corner of an empty dumpster. With all respect due.
