If they really cared about cutting real spending, they would have to cut or change entitlements which is/has been an absolute non-starter since all this shutdown BS started.

Their options are to risk a shut down of the government or go along with whatever the Democrats want. McConnell knows this, he just doesn't have the balls to support the House GOP. The House needs to pass whatever cuts they can pass and then hand it to the Senate and dare the Senate not to pass it or the President not to sign it and shut down the government. Quit being chickens and hold the line. Maybe they should read Article 1 of the Constitution while they are at it.

Except the House is far from United on wha they want to pass. This isn’t the House kowtowing to the Senate or the Republicans to Democrats. It’s infighting within the House GOP caucus.
