This is not a year I'm interested in betting on their games with all the uncertainty (injuries, rookies, etc).

I'd absolutely take the Jags today. Hope I'm wrong.

Crazy how hard we got hit by the injuries.

Hopefully the adversity allows Stroud to shine even more.

I would argue that the lack of line and commitment to running the ball has given Stroud some early confidence. Now he knows he really belongs.

Bodes well for today against a Jacksonville team that the Texans have played well in recent years.

I'm really rooting for the Texans today to an unusual degree. It would really boost the coach, the vibe, and the whole rebuild to catch the Jags snoozing a bit today, (crossing fingers). I know it's unlikely.

    HOWEVAH!

Espn just informed me that Lawrence is 0-5 against the spread as a favorite at home, and Jax is 1-9 in their last 10 games vs the Texans.

Let's do this! Bring on the trifecta on defense with a sack, forced fumble, and interception!!!

Don't go down without a fight!

I just want a competitive game.

Do not want to start out slow and please for the love of god. Come out aggressive passing the ball.

The Texans just love to try and run it between the tackles to stall drives early in games.

Why don't we pass to set up the run for once.

Yep, throw to set up the run. Quickly...I don't want Stroud killed.

Let's see if the play calling learns from the mistakes of the last 2 games.

Can't abandon the run because play action doesn't really work without it.

Right, but the run needs to be set up by the pass and not the other way around given that there is no O line. You have to slow the rush with quick passes, then hit them with the run.....then hit them with the play action.
