Based. Europeans shouldn't have stopped buying Russian gas. Good for them. Open the nuclear plants as well while you're at it

I promise you if they hadn't changed the window dressing and still ostensibly presented at "communists" (without any practical chamge in behavior or policy) the right would be screaming bloody murder, demanding we nuke them back to hell.

Putin should just really just rebrand himself "Tzar of All The Russias" or some equally traditional sounding authoritarian title and Lauren Bobert will be on the phone in 5 minutes asking him if he wants to go catch a peformance of Beetlejuice this weekend.

The big PR mistake the the CCP made was not giving themselves a rebrand when they abandoned communism for fascism.

I'll just assume that this is Russian backed propaganda until I see otherwise.

It appears SEFE is resuming imports of Russian LNG only to fulfill its contractual obligation to deliver that LNG to India after Russia eased the ban. Although not for German use itself, it still looks bad politically for German.

MOSCOW, June 14 (Reuters) - Russia's Yamal LNG plant is set to resume liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies to India's GAIL (GAIL.NS) under a long-term contract involving a Gazprom (GAZP.MM) unit, Kommersant daily reported on Wednesday citing Russian government sources.

GAIL agreed to a 20-year deal with Gazprom Marketing and Trading Singapore (GMTS) in 2012 for annual purchases of an average of 2.5 million tonnes of LNG on a delivered basis.

At the time, GMTS was a unit of Gazprom Germania, now called SEFE, but the Russian parent gave up ownership of SEFE after Western sanctions.

The initial contract with GMTS was also for supplies from the Yamal project in the Arctic, but the former Russian entity was arranging supplies from elsewhere to cut freight costs as the deal was done on delivered basis, industry sources said earlier this year.
Kommersant said on Wednesday that the issue of LNG supplies to India has been resolved. It said, citing a source, that the deliveries are set to resume in the previous volumes in nearest future.

As reported by Bloomberg, the company Securing Energy for Europe GmbH (SEFE) plans to receive an LNG shipment from the Yamal liquefaction plant in Siberia on October 1st. SEFE’s tanker, the Amur River, will pick up the cargo in Zeebrugge, Belgium, and then transport it to India.

“This contradicts almost everything that the federal government has said on the matter in the past. It appears that economic ties with Russia are not as easy to sever as politicians would like,” commented Christian Leye, spokesperson for the Left Party’s economic policy faction in the Bundestag.

Berlin had previously strongly opposed the import of Russian LNG, emphasizing that it did not support the purchase of Russian liquefied gas - as stated in a January document from the Ministry of Economy, which oversees SEFE.

At that time, it was stated, “The federal government informed companies that it would take appropriate steps to exclude the purchase of Russian LNG as much as possible,” as Bloomberg recalled.

During a press conference in March, Economy Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) stated that Germany was “not currently dependent on Russian gas supplies. German companies do not buy LNG from Russian companies or in Russia. In fact, we are independent of Russian gas,” he explained at the time.

Asked by Bloomberg, an SEFE spokeswoman stated in an email that “German ports are not involved in this process, as are European or German gas networks. Therefore, these deliveries do not reach the German market, industry, or consumers in Germany,” she added.

SEFE has a long-term contract with Yamal LNG, “inherited” from the days of Gazprom. It also has a separate long-term agreement for deliveries with the Indian company GAIL Ltd. According to the 2018 agreement, SEFE would have to pay for deliveries even if they were not delivered to India. “Such a procedure would not be economically justified,” She explained.

Although the EU has imposed extensive sanctions on the Kremlin following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, it still allows the import of Russian LNG. However, some European politicians criticize the approval of Russian LNG shipments, which have increased after Gazprom suspended Nord Stream pipeline deliveries, as emphasized by Bloomberg.

After the nationalization of SEFE by the federal government, Moscow imposed sanctions on the company, blocking its access to Russian LNG, including from Yamal. However, in June, Russia eased this ban.

The German Ministry of Economy has not yet commented on the matter after receiving inquiries from Bloomberg, explaining that it is currently analyzing the situation.

Sprinter certainly isn't full of pro Ukraine propaganda like some of the others that frequently gets posted here. I can understand why partisans would share the same view as you.

You can view his timeline. There is an Indian guy with similar content and similar anti-US takes. I have no issues with extra-nationals ******** on the United States. But the readers should be smart enough to detect these biases.

It appears to be mostly a news aggregator. Comment section is certainly full of anti-Ukraine sentiment. I have mostly observed the Sprinter account poking fun at the West/Zelensky relationship. It certainly seems to be anti-Zelensky.

All media is bias. Western media has consistently and methodically removed any negative news that goes against their message.

This is why every anti ukraine person @Space Ghost @glynch can never make good arguments and always expose themselves in any sort of debates. They have no idea how to debate without spinning disinformation and lies.

It's embarrassing cuz it happens every time.
