Out of all our players hurt this year, why is the worst player in the team the most resilient? Maldy is literally useless as a player. He brings absolutely nothing to any team, but only the Astros would keep him around.
The offense will fold this game. We lose 2 out of 3 easily. May get swept by the Mariners but I think 1 out of 3 sounds about right. We will end up with around 88 wins max
Maldy’s supposed value is his defense and game-calling. He is **** at both. Why the **** is Diaz benched AGAIN?
Maldonado's pitcher ERA would be even higher than Diaz if their own errors counting against --- passed balls. That last one was a lazy f***** attempt at catching the pitch.
If Astros lose this series against the Royals. Just fold it up because they'll also lose to the Mariners easily.
I knew this was coming, Dusty was bragging on Moldy in the pregame how he straightens pitchers out and he fixed Javier. I knew it.
It’s not even that he sucks, which obviously he does, it’s that we are benching a guy hitting .287 with 23 homers (on a 35-40 pace) that is also superior defensively for him. We aren’t talking about a Christian Vazquez or someone marginally better here instead. Assuming we aren’t stupid enough to bring him back, he wont get picked up by any other team outside maybe a backup role limited to 15-20 games tops. Meanwhile there are at least 27 other teams that would be starting Diaz over their current catcher no questions.
