I don't have an issue with you pointing out that Fetterman cannot speak effectively right now - it is a fact, regardless of why.

    Same with McConnell etc.

This is politics - most of these people running are people that will exploit anything to win, it is fair game.

Then maybe don't retweet people mocking his disability?

Well, for one, that's for the people of Pennsylvania to decide, and they clearly disagree.

Secondly, communication can happen via many vectors. Spontaneous speech is just one of them.

Comparing him to McConnell is a miss IMO. Aging is a disease we all see coming, and should have the courage and maturity to accept with grace. Throwing craps in the game of life and getting blindsided by a medical problem is a different kettle of fish, especially if its impacts are narrow in scope (as expressive aphasia is).

All Fetterman's disability does is make him sound bad during live interviews, that's it. Continually pointing this out just makes you look like an ******* the same way you'd be an ******* if you made fun of Greg Abbot for needing assistance getting up to a podium.

Yeah, this gives him some cover, but his aides are claiming he'll show improvement as time passes which means he better improve.

I find the whole dress code thing weird when MAGA/Tea Party folk are among the trashiest chest-thumping numbskulls who are proud of their trashiness.

Now those folks are drumming up the idea that Capitol Hill is some haloed Church of Democracy where the people can't vape odorless THC or cop a feel on an intern.

It just lacks originality to mask their craven pandering and opportunistic money seeking.

The reality is that the "hoodie and shorts" schtick is brilliant. It is how the majority of people in his state dress, and it makes him very relatable to a lot of people, and also helps him stand out. It also fits his personality.

The Republicans can complain about it, but it is because they know it works for him.

I guess it must be a slow news week when we are angry about dress code changes.

I don't think he has to improve to retain his seat. He didn't hide the ball. His constituents knew what they were getting. I give him all the credit in the world for that. That was uncommon bravery and honesty.

Improving his condition will only help his re-election chances. For most of the campaign he did not suffer from the effects of a stroke. Now he has issues with speaking and verbally aligning his thoughts in order.

I also agree that it is brave and honest - but he had to.

If people won’t support fetterman because he has verbal issues they should not support governors that can’t walk.

I'm all for it. And who's going to say **** to him? No one.

I hate wearing a tie. I have an 18" neck and grew up in Houston. When I wore a tie, my neck was hot AF and I would get stiff by the end of the day.

And have you seen the way Zoomers dress? At best it's 'intentional slob' but it's usually just slob. And younger Millennials aren't really much better.

Point taken - I believe the fact that the Governor of Texas can't stand like a man is fair game..... same with the fact that he pisses like a woman.

LOL at an 18 inch neck.

As for zoomers - they are ****ing slobs, but that is where we are headed.... besides almost all of us dress like **** now. I have gone from designer jeans and St. Laurent shirts and Hugo Boss suits....... to track suits or Chairmen Mao pants with slippers and no one ever says anything to me - even on the Gold Coast I don't get as much as a smirk.

I have represented Joseph Andriacchi so I guess that I am a mob lawyer if you want to get technical.

I think after 40 years old I entered the IDGAF stage of my life -

/shrug on the neck- I’m borderline big & tall which was a real pita off the rack back back in the day, but I know you know how it is even more than me.

I’ve made some Zoomer and younger Millennials friends lately and they’re really just all sweet kids. I don’t give a **** how they dress. I’m ready for the uptight generations to leave.

Don't ask me why and how, but apparently, my punishment for having made mean remarks about Fetterman is that I'm stranded in Philly tonight, FML. I guess I deserve it or whatever.

Akeem has always been the classiest, and most graceful, basketball player in history.
