He made more of an effort fixing his hair before putting his helmet back on than he did in the at bat.
It really does look like they've quit. And we know how much heart a lot of these guys have, so I have to wonder if Dusty has killed the spirit of the team.
Neris is one of the few who has the required fire it's going to take to get this thing back on track. These guys look like the walking dead. The culture of complacency that has been evident throughout this year has come back to bite and now that a different pressure is on them (possibly missing the playoffs all together) it looks like they are opening up a can of quit under the pressure. They didn't have the right approach to this season and it's costing them. Getting rid of Baker will help but the organization really took a major step back in a lot of ways this year.
Not winning the 1st game of the series is the killer. This is torture, painful seeing a well-oiled ship sinking.
