see what happened when you go 2-4 to the two worst team in the league? now you struggling to stay afloat.
Tell Jim Crane and Dana Brown. They don't care either. At the time of the Verlander trade this year, it felt like a bad trade because the Prospects given up were Young Strong Left Handed Bats. That can Energize a Lineup. CF/RF Drew Gilbert 1B Ryan Clifford With Astros continuing to Lose Games at least Astros can get a Good Draft Pick if they Lose Out and be in 3rd Place in the AL West. Orioles playing with Revenge Mike Elias and Sig Mejdal getting their Revenge
The same Espada who has never been a manager before? If it was up to me, I'm not handing the keys to a rookie. I prefer an experienced manager. Craig Counsell is a free agent, and I would LOVE it if we could pry him away from Milwaukee. But rumor has it he wants to take next year off to be with his family, and then who knows after.
That Awkward looking, weird Batting Stance. Craig Counsell, Hell No Joe Espada was groomed to Takeover the Astros
Nepotism and Favoritism is the Downfall of the Astros in Favor of Jake Meyers, Martin Maldonado Not Playing these Players Chas McCormick 35 Hrs and Yainer Diaz 45 Hrs So many Runs being missed out
I don't follow the Cubs (or any team other than the Astros), but they handed the keys to a rookie, and then the Bryant/Rizzo/Contreras/Baez core fell quickly, and dived into rebuild mode. Granted, they've found their way back, and I don't know what went on, but as an outsider, I think handing the keys to a rookie manager was part of their downfall. You need strong leadership at the top. Also, if Espada is God's gift to managing, why hasn't he been hired yet? Is he the Eric Bieniemy of baseball? Does he not interview well? Do teams see him as a good bench coach but not manager material? I'd also be very happy if AJ came back but I see that as VERY unlikely for many reasons.
Cionel Perez the Astros Let Go gets a Save. The Young Lefty Power Pitcher that needed time to Develop. Given Up by the Astros. Now a Orioles Weapon
Between this and the Pressly interview last night, these guys are as clueless as Dusty and Josh Miller.
Love me some Bregs, he speaks the truth. If the Stros miss the playoffs by a game or two, you can blame this directly on Dusty. It looks to me like these guys have quit on Dusty, gotta do it, not talk about doing it. Is Brantley hurt? If not then he needs to be playing over Dubon.
Absurd that the "Dusty Haters" may very well be proven right, not playing Diaz, McCormick, and Meyers over Maldy, Dubon (in CF), and Julks combines to about a 2-4 win swing, and now they're clinging on to the 3rd WC spot by a thread and are in danger of falling out with less than two weeks to go. It's not often that a manager can tank a season, but this team is about to become a case study.
Every team struggles with sustaining success, our pitching suck, our hitting is spotty and our focus is crap, and we have a terrible manager. DD
