We meet again on Saturday for the last time in what will probably be a long time. I assume my Bears will lose, but kinda bummed this game is going away.
Some notes from Inside Texas: - SEC going back to 9 game format in 2025. - 4 team pod system, they think it’ll be UT/OU/A&M/Arky. - RRR will permanently move to 2:30 start. - DKR will move back to natural gas but not for a few seasons.
I would hope that UT will rotate 1 "old rivalry" out of conference game every couple of years: Baylor, Tech, TCU...well, maybe not Tech. UH then.
That was a vintage Baylor beat down, reminded me of when I was on campus. 1 member of the Hateful 8 down.
Good luck in the SEC, gents. If someone has to win that God forsaken conference, I’d far rather it be Texas than anyone else.
I don't like the pod idea. College Station is closer to LSU than Arkansas. OU should play UT every year. UT should play TAMU/UT ever year. That's all that should be locked-in for that group of teams.
UT really might be BACK this time (maybe. almost). They are big, fast and deep. They have the swagger. They have 5 star Mannings on the sidelines clipping their nails. It's more fun when UT is good that's for sure. And it's more fun if you're a fan, to be in the the SEC. Hate the SEC or not, you'll see when you get there, it's just more fun and that's what matters. Fun over fair. Goodbye forever Baylor.
I'll still be watching them and going to a game every 3 years or so - so.. gratz. You can enjoy my continued suffering. In the years I have been forced to follow Baylor (like... 9-11ish) I cant remember them looking so outmatched against UT. Looked like JV vs varsity. Or closer to how it was in my college days (USC vs TEXAS title era). Sad for Baylor, LOWKEY.
You’re not wrong. They look awful. They lost to Texas State! After the Sugar Bowl win all the rumors were that Aranda might get lured away back to a west coast school where he’s from. I don’t think that’s a danger any longer.
