I just knew that Montero in a high leverage situation was coming. Dusty just couldn't help himself. The best thing that could have happened to this team is for Montero's era to have stayed above 6.50. But here we are. Y'all enjoy more of this to come.

My apologies, but the stats do not lie. He's been the most consistent productive hitter (and clutch on top of that) these past 3 months (since the middle of June). I'm just tired of people crapping on him. Maldonado? Montero? Dusty? Sure. They deserve it. And Abreu has been doing this with a chronic back issue. He's a professional hitter like Brantley and should be treated with the same respect. Again, my apologies.

I'm usually ambivalent about the wave, but right now? Come on. Still not nearly as bad as coming in the game thread and rooting for the team with a division record to lose in September.
