The other stuff was super minor compared to this, I don't know if you were ever on a team - but arguments with coaches, other players, stuff happens all the danged time - nothing he did in Houston was all that serious......and couldn't be cleared up by a good coach and a GM that didn't enable him.

However, this.....is different...and inexcusable......but the story changing is weird....hard to know if she is telling the truth or it is the stockholm syndrome or she is seeking a payout......just so much stuff, and none of us have any real knowledge....

I still want him gone though, I think the team needs him out of the way for others to blossom now......

It was a magic punch. Unless there was a second puncher in the bush.

Regardless of what’s the end result of this charge, I don’t want to see him back on the Rox. He can get his 2nd chance on the GSW for all I care. Or is it 3rd now?

The fact that we haven't heard ANYTHING from her yet is puzzling, normally an account of events from either him or her would have come out.....

And man if the police just assumed here - and didn't get anyone on record, just so much bizzare.

The story keeps changing and I think I know why. As I originally said, he's 23 and she's 26....they're both young and when you're young you make mistakes.

Anyone who says otherwise is just lying to themselves. You don't just come out the wound knowing everything that life throws your way.

KPJ messed up, no if and or buts about it but dont mean he cant fix it. If its with the Rockets or in China. He needs to time mature. His girl locked him out of the apartment, so she was being immature as well. And no telling how she responded once he came in late, which could've heightened the situation. WE DONT KNOW.

One thing I learned in my early 20's is that for the most part you're just an older teenager. Both men and women.

People say, he's 23, he's old enough to know, he's had several chances but people are different, one is the same. Unfortunately for KPJ he hasn't reach that point of maturity. Hopefully he will but if not, he has had a chance that many of us dream of....playing in the NBA

The story keeps changing because they are lying lol Which again is normal when a woman tries to defend the man who abused her.

Haha. You are funny... He seems just fine in his mug shot though... Oh wait... There are a few mug shots going around by now.

That dude is unlucky for having so much bail money - he'd mature real quick in prison instead of by tutelage of John Lucas or Ime Udoka.

I read this a lot from people not just in regards to this incident but these incidents in general. And I have a geniune question to you. Is it normal for kids in grade school and college to beat up girls? Perhaps I'm too sheltered in my suburban middle class upbringing where I went through the entirety of high school and college without knowing a single friend who beat up their girlfriend or knew guys who did that. Is this something that is considered normal behavior in various circles? That if a 23yr old does it, it just meant he hasn't mature from his younger days when people accept beating gf as a normal guy thing to do?

She used a lawyer to say that he didn't strangle her. Or was that fake news by Fox News?

So what’s next? He didn’t hit her in the face either?

There is nothing puzzling about a victim of domestic violence choosing not to speak out.

Not sure where you are going with this, but you probably shouldn't go any further.

The overreaction goes the other way now.

They are not going to drop the charges (plural). The defense is asking for dropping the 2nd degree assault charge (singular) because the neck was not fractured. If this one is indeed dropped, there are still two other charges. They still have evidence of her getting beat up and strangled.

Also, even if the girl changes her story now, they still have what she told the police and probably the medics when they arrived at the scene.

The point is that lawyer knows what was said on record that government is using and therefore would ensure that she is not contradicting her previous words. I assume lawyer's reputation is on the line if he makes a public statement that contradicts record. I also assume that lawyer advised her what to say and what not to say when making public statements. In other words, her statements are more thoughtful than you try to let on (something about a regular cycle of denial that a domestic violence victim gets into). A lot of money is on the line to make stupid statements for her camp.

"According to her, she wasn’t being strangled. That was an exaggeration," Hantman said. "She doesn’t want the public to think that what was said by the government were her words."

And with that it sounds like they only want to press the 3rd degree assault charges based on the Fox News article that I quote above.

Whatever, I'm sure a high powered lawyer wouldn't waste his time saying dumb **** on behalf of his emotional client.
