Orioles, Mariners, and D-Backs to close out to the season is going to be rough. All teams vying for playoff positioning......
Last 3 games…Altuve, Bregman and Tucker are 4 for 42. Hitting less then .100 is a big problem for any team for your 1,4 and 5 hitters.
Ok so you just made my point. If Diaz is playing then he's hitting 5 or 6 not 9, that changes opportunities for action. I mean I have no idea what Diaz "would do" but he's just a superior batter hitting 5 or 6
Based on tie breakers and if the Mariners end up losing: Astros ahead of: 1/2 Rangers 1/2 Mariners 1 Blue Jays
Why would you even include Abreu in that sentence when he's been our most productive hitter over the last 75 games. Are you even aware of that?
Tuck was playing like a MVP candidate but the closer he got to his personal season goals/benchmarks, the worst he got. He's been our most consistent hitter this season so his drop-off has been a huge hit.
Guarantee we win the next 2. I'll delete my account if we don't win tomorrow and won't watch the Orioles series at all if we don't win both.
We're slowly drifting away from the analytics driven mentality that got us here. Click obviously wasn't perfect but him leaving and Dusty having free reign with his "gut" is killing this teams chances.
Damn. Not going to lie, I'm starting to worry. All along I've expected them to turn it on when it matters, but there have been too many games like this one to feel comfortable.
Mariners lose to the Dodgers but show way more fight in the 9th inning than the Astros did the entire game against the Royals.
