Maldy is so cooked he doesn't even try to throw out base runners anymore. Even he knows it's fruitless.

The team has given up. They no longer have interest in being the best. They don't have any pride anymore. The fans deserve better than this ****.
I think the team's attitude reflects directly on the manager and coaches. It's time people seriously need to think why it is that Dusty is failing to get the team motivated and playing their best.
I agree on the 1-4 have to show up but this is the rub. You obviously increase your chances when you have your best hitting players in 1-9. You leave one of your BEST hitters on the ENTIRE team on the bench. Give Diaz 4 ABs in the 5 or 6 spot, you increase your chances of scoring runs, the data bears it out, its not that hard.
Diaz should be starting every game, but we had the 1-8 guys from the so-called death lineup out there tonight and they stunk. And Maldy got on base twice, so him batting 9th wasn't the issue(his defense is another matter however).
Do you know what's one of the most important job for a coach/manager of a championship team? The ability to keep the team motivated, hungry, and focus. Dusty has failed to do his job.
But the Astros are blowing any chance of having a lead in the division going into the final couple weeks.
Dusty is 100% not giving the team its best chance to win as usual, that's no excuse for this BS. Even if Dusty put me at DH they should still not struggle as much as they have to score against trash pitchers.
