There are actual statues of Bill Clinton in Kosovo.

Basically the same thing that the Republicans promised (but did not happen) in Iraq - actually did happen when the us saved Balkan Muslims from actual concentration camps.

These things happened! How addled are you man!

At what point do you admit, yet again, for the 17th time, that you really don't know what you are talking about...but you really like to give opinions about it anyway.

So many here act as though Biden can unilaterally push Ukraine to accept a ceasefire or that such a thing will automatically and immediately lead to a lowering of gas prices. The sides actually doing the fighting don’t appear to be that interested in having a ceasefire.

If Biden were to unilaterally decide to atop sending arms to Ukraine he would first face a major Congressional backlash since it’s Congress that has agreed to fund Ukraine and not just Biden. It’s not going to win him votes among Republicans and likely cause a lot of turmoil in the Dem caucus. It’s not clear if it would win over votes from independents.

While oil prices might see a short term drop from speculation it’s not as though Russian oil would be flooding the markets suddenly as there are structural barriers in the way.

At the same time a sudden reversal on ukraine policy would undercut NATO and lead to confusion and tensions with Europe. That could cause more confusion to the global economy and still lead to higher not lower prices.

Most importantly the Ukrainians might not accept a ceasefire under the threat of cutting off US aid and the Russians rather than reading it as a opportunity for peace might instead decide it’s a good chance for them launch an offensive. Rather leading a frozen or stable peace in Ukraine this could just lead to an even greater battle.

I think the political and other damage from Biden suddenly and unilaterally changing course on Ukraine are far greater than any benefit that might be gained from possible lower oil prices.

Your whole strategy is to keep 4 dollar gas and stay naive to what every polling is showing and somehow think ukraine is going have some major breakthrough before next november. Its copium on another level. The current pace ukraine is on their not going take back all the territory before next november regardless. If they go on the current pace it will take them another 96 years to take back all the land. Now that the eastern front is even more fortified and more defensive.

What in the world is your exit strategy? You have none. Russia has repeatedly said they would more than happy accept a ceasefire and even give back some territory. The ukrianians are the ones who are demanding all the land back and are unwilling to give up a single inch. Thats fine on paper but what is yout strategy?None of the pro ukr people in this thread can outline any sort of exit plan. Theres no universe that ukr gets back all the land RU has taken before next november.

Trump has already said that he will throw ukraine to Putin within 24 hours. This is the same trump who said Putin was a "genius" for invading. This is who you want to gamble the entire future of democracy with?

You can be pro ukraine and still live in reality. Its not our fault that americans are facists and would vote for a guy because he brings cheap gas but thats the hard truth. Russian refineries are already exporting gas on the black market to india which is exporting to europe. There literally already evading sanctions and the only people suffering are americns and europens cuz our refinery margins are 4x than usual.

Again if anyone can outline some sort of exit plan please do lay it out. The day that Trump wins and if theres no ceasefire before then you will see Putin taking over all of Ukr within months. I hope you people will be glad then and pat yourself on the back @rocketsjudoka

Bless your heart.... Russian history for centuries has been invading its neighbors to create buffer territories. The USSR came BEFORE modern Russia..... and the USSR conquered its neighbors..... Had the USSR treated its neighbors better and not brutally subjugated them, then maybe those countries didn't want to join NATO.

And you have to apply to join NATO...... so the only reason why NATO expanded is because those countries didn't want Russia to do what they have done historically.

Both you far left and far right are completely naïve that other countries can be just as ruthless and imperialist as the US.

Well sure... but it's just asinine to suggest the US never compromises in international relations. Just comparing the allies of US vs the allies of Russia/China, seems like the former includes far more compromise.

You spend way too much time on Twitter.

No one on here is going to come up with a strategy to end the Ukrainian War and get Biden re-elected.

i dont spend any time on twitter other than monopoly and labor news. The point is nobody has a exit plan for the war. Everyone just supports ukr because its the right thing. Thats fine on paper and nothing else.

Theres no way UKR is taking back all the land before election day. Why not secure a long term deal and get a permanent us presence ? Get it codified and secure something long term. Instead zelensky is in way over his head and has no idea what hes doing.

Yes I agree. It’s unlikely if at all Ukraine gets back all the land that Russia is currently occupying. The problem I see with your position is that it’s naive to think that Biden can singularly compel a ceasefire on Ukraine and Russia and that such a ceasefire would lead to a rapid drop in oil prices.

The ones who are largely dictating this are the ones actually fighting. I don’t think there is anything wrong with side diplomacy trying to work out some sort of peace plan but that can’t be forced two belligerents. If the US, NATO, UN etc were to compel a peace deal there will be a strong temptation by one side or the other to break it. To enforce it will likely need a large peacekeeping force and what will be much more unpopular than arming Ukraine is sending US troops to enforce a peace between Ukraine and Russia.

You accuse others of not having an exit plan or being unrealistic but have you actually thought through how Biden would be able to force a ceasefire and make one stick?

Who cares about the price of gas?

Ukraine should continue to keep degrading Russias military day by day and keep inching forward to the black sea like they're currently doing.

Each day they do that is a better outcome for them and a worse outcome for Russia.

    I don't give a **** about gas i drive an EV

Russia right now would more than happy agree to a ceasefire plus more. Their FM has already said they would agree to one and Modi has reportedly said same to biden at g20. I just dont think Zelensky understands the risk hes putting his people. They have a dellusional mindset of america and the west. Zelensky was the same person who literally thought biden would declare WW3 to save kyiv. Hes in over his head.

If Trump wins the election Zelensky will not have a job anymore within hours. He needs to understand the gamble hes taking. My biggest issue is hes living in lala land and somehow thinks Trump wont win or Trump will somehow support him? (can he be that stupid?) Putin will rule over UKR within months if Trump wins. Mark my words and ill bet you anything.

If there was no election next season or if the GOP had a competent candidate I would agree we should keep supporting UKR as its our duty. The sad reality is half the country is ****ing stupid because we have propaganda spewing hate 24/7. What can we do but its the reality of the situation and living in some other reality where this isnt true isnt healthy.

If we look at the history of US military involvement right now the US is doing only slightly more than the minimum. People act as though this is a US war being fought, it’s not. Sending military aid is something the US has long even to places not involved in active conflicts and even to countries that have been opposed to each other like Egypt and Israel.

The issue is that a vast majority of the democratic coalition does care about gas prices (non educated black and latino men). If biden loses these demos even by 10% then thats the election. In every polling it shows that their biggest issue is gas prices whether you like it or not. Most non educated men do not drive EVs. They ride public transportation or they drive cars.

Im just reporting stats and facts. Dont shoot the messenger for simply relying facts. Its important people dont live in a information bubble like @Salvy . Were not MAGAts

I don't believe for one second that the Biden Admin doesn't have any exit plans, but what you are really looking for is a plan that is most advantageous to the re-election of Biden.

I also don't believe the Biden admin supports Ukraine for purely altruistic reasons. Clearly, supporting Ukraine is also a message to China and Taiwan.

Have you ever considered that Russia just wants to buy more time to regroup? Trusting Russia is a good idea? Or it just buys Biden some time?

The issue isnt the aid but its the sanctions that arent really effective. The tech exports is killing russian aviation industry and their ability to manufacture new weapons but their energy sanctions arent working and its hurting americans at the end of the day. Go look at the diesel crack margins today

    https://www.tradingview.com/news/re...N3AP1Y0:0-diesel-cracks-gain-u-s-stocks-rise/

Diesel crack margins are literally 5x of what they usually are. Its why its diesel is over 4 dollars in most states which means higher grocery costs because truckers have to pay more for transport which means higher inflation which means fed has to keep higher rates which means interest rates stay high which means people blame biden cuz they cant buy stuff cheap no more.

Its a trickle down system that starts with sanctions whether you like it or not.

That's what everyone said last year and then predicted a red Tsunami.

Instead of galaxy Braining the gas price electoral vote Ukraine war meta nexus - maybe just do what is right and support democracy over Russian war criminals as long as it's working.

    And.... it's working

I def agree which is why Biden should put in the NDAA after we have a ceasefire that US troops will be stationed in the country permanently. This is my entire point im trying to make.

Now that biden is in office you can actually give ukraine security guarantees. Tell congress you wont sign the NDAA unless it includes a permanent us presence in Western UKR. Give them real security guarantees and make put it in law before the next election. Nobody is claiming we should UKR to the wolves.

My point is only biden can offer this. If you gamble with the election and if Trump wins then UKR as a nation will not exist no more.
