I don't get it either, I haven't looked it up but I saw a post on X in passing while in a meeting. It said something to the order of "nba wants to react or investigate before the Rockets take action"
He knew something but it was a joke running. He knew what went down behind the curtains, who was close with who.....and those stuff. It is not mutually exclusive to be salty and to be knowing inside stuff.
Where else can we get cringe tweets?! Big overlap between Wood fans and KPJ fans. “We’re rooting for you in Dallas! Do well C-Wood!” … The **** we are. “I would keep Silas for another 3 years if it meant Scoot [Henderson].” Spoiler
They also let Ron Artest back into the league but times are different now. There's a much greater awareness and far less tolerance about violence against women today. As he is an after-thought as far as the league goes, it's my guess is that KPJ is done in the Association.
They were both enablers. I am a restaurateur and have often given employees 2nd and on occasion 3rd chances, but they were never coddled. Enablement of criminal behavior is systemic in our current political environment. People don’t seem to get upset until it is a kid millionaire that acts out. Non-violent criminals should face penalties, but it is reasonable to try and invest in them for the good of society. Violent criminality should be punished swiftly, harshly, and consistently across the entire population. KPJ should not only lose his contract, but should go to jail.
2-3 yrs ago these internet kids put up a random Rockets spaces and it changed Rockets Twitter forever. Dudes on there do some of the most cringe stuff. You got reputable people in the organization, in media, on other teams interacting with them. I'm like, how? lol
That was the Power of Twitter. Twitter was just a short messaging platform not that long ago. Then it became this huge news breaking cycle.
I would say he's likely playing overseas. It would take an impressive showing for a team willing to take such a chance in the NBA. I could see him in China. That culture doesn't value women the same. There's also an element of it too that if she did something to him first, it does soften the issue somewhat. Doesn't absolve him of guilt but it does make it less damning. Chuck Finley was struck years ago first. It's not likely, but not without possibility until more facts established.. I really doubt he's a bad guy, I suspect he's probably bipolar and not getting that treated. Even good people can do awful things when drugs or mental health are involved. Given his track record I wouldn't be surprised by a mental health issue.
But isn't this always the case with professional athletes? As long as you can play and make millions for ownership, you get to operate by a different set of rules where character is an irrelevant concept. Miles Bridges, Darren Collison, Matt Barnes, Ron Artest, Greg Hardy, Ezekial Elliott, Michael Irvin, Rae Carruth and most recently Brandon Miller just to name a few and the list goes on from there.
https://abc7ny.com/amp/kevin-porter-arrest-nyc-charges/13772278/ Wonder if he really pleaded not guilty? I can’t remember but I’m pretty sure you can mark guilty, no contest, or not guilty when bonding out. Could be wrong. Been some years since I’ve been
