The NBA’s investigation and subsequent punishment doesn’t impede the team’s right to cut the player, as they always can do.
Someone needs to put a person on Lucas to ensure he doesn’t try to get justice himself. I feel for him the most. Guy spent the last couple of years bending over backwards trying to help this POS out and KPJ went from sleeping with his goddaughter to trying to put her to sleep.
Just heard a great interview with former coach Silas and when asked about the KPJ incident he got very upset and said if he were still coaching the Rockets he’d suspend him at least 2 full games.
Sad to see a kid with so much promise, and so much help offered to him, follow in his father's footsteps... I think he's going to prison. For a while, too. Good riddance, dude. Not a lawyer, but one could question if there is enough for an attempted murder charge here, especially if she was asleep...
that was the initial report. But now the indictment says she was sleeping. so there is a discrepancy. Let’s say I don’t have my keycard, I knock on the door and she says "go away, I’m not opening". I’d consider that being "locked out". But if the girl is sleeping, then she’s not locked him out. Unless she used the latch on the inside. But I doubt that was the case…
and now it begins. the Rockets knew all this was going on; they had to. why would they hand the keys over to someone so volatile and had so many problems? We had so many other young players they could have promoted to head honcho. It's still so weird to me. Was Porter abusing them too?
Just weird infatuation. First Royce White and Stomp the Hobo Terence Jones......now this....and inbetween Asik and Lin....and TSquid.
I agree with this dude's tweet. Bad look if so. Really bad. There's helping a guy, and then there's helping a guy get away with crimes...
I do think Stone is inept at times and does not think things through enough to the details. John Wall did the interview and it was very bad publicity for the Rockets, and he shrugged it off. He is just too cool for school.
It is odd Porter did not make any statements or his lawyers did not say anything. That is a death sentence.
