Anything less than 7-2 over the next 9 games is a failure.

    And perhaps they fold...

... Or perhaps, given their track record vs. pressure in the better part of the last decade, they have yet to be under enough.

Just as pitches are to seconds, at-bats to minutes, innings to hours, games to days, seasons to years, and careers to lifetimes, so is sport to time and space.

Just as baseball is a construct through which one can only connect with the ball by being present in the pitch, so is existence a construct through which one can only connect with Love by being present in the here and now. Whether Roy O' buries a nasty curve in Biggio's mitt or hangs it cowlick high as Altuve launches it over the train tracks and into the quadruple deck of the Dome is inconsequential in the grand scheme.

While Cruz may retire and Coltrane may die and @AkeemTheDreem86 may hopefully stop posting, ball is still played, lives are still lived, and Clutchfans remains a paragon in perpetuity.

In the constructed game of life, Love - the ball itself - is the objective reality with which the subjects attempt to connect.

    Batter up!

    Edit: wrong thread

My big ole bad. Mods, feel free to ban my last poster.

To be honest, last night marked my first three attended game losing streak in eight years, so I'm trying out a new approach. Yeah yeah, success in life, as in baseball, is shaped by failure. We get the point. If we could stop losing ballgames to inferior teams down the stretch of a pennant race, that'd be greaaaaat.

    Like... be the ball... or whatever :}

Lost 1 to SD. 2 to Oakland.

That quickly became a failure. A big F

...and if our managerial & HoF genius only runs out the sub-par lineups (offense/defesnse) to dink-and-dunk to stay "within competition" of the prima-donna Rangers/Mariners, thinking of the AL WEST teams are but a game or an AFTERTHOUGHT-- then this M(anager)F(uckDumb) is not working for Houston & is a league employee.

#****ingretirealready #yourenothoustonssavior #aintNobodyHaveTime (or want / will / owes it to you) to #thankyou... GTFOH with all your ego BS.
YOU ARE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND CANT HANDLE MANAGING A CHAMPIONSHIP CLUB-- THATS WHY YOUVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO DO IT.

Does the Astros org actually do employee reviews?
Hey JimmyC -- how does the gobbledygook that dribbles out your HoF/WS-ring-wearing/toothpick-chewing manager/face of the franchise's mouth align with the rest of the org with the answers & verbiage spewed out of his "IDGAF" mouth??? Its his retirement "go home" year... you think this guy is actually going to want to do whats best for the org or for himself...???

This stretch has been a disaster. 7-2? Not even 5-4.

Not a failure if our opponents fail harder

Beep, beep, beep --- that's the sound of Houston backing into the playoffs

Seattle and Texas Sugar Rush ended and they are Crashing.

Seattle GM The Ultimate Idiot Trading away their Closer in Paul Sewald.

We have Kendall Graveman from Seattle, Seattle if they were Serious they would've paid Kendall and Their Closer Paul Sewald they Traded.

Astros need better Pitching, Hitting, Fielding in the Remaining Games.

Pitching Depth the Astros Have is Impressive, The Depth Next Year will be Amazing with

Verlander, Valdez, Javier, McCullers, Garcia, Arrighetti, Urquidy, France.

Ummm....Rojas has been great as a platoon piece for Seattle, and it is doubtful the Mariners are this close if they didn't trade Sewald for him.
