I was checking profiles of the lady KPJ hit, I find that I believe her sister was involved in domestic assault on her husband (late-Dwayne Haskins). I thought we have enough D.Watson news, so I guess KPJ is going to hire Rockets season ticker holder Rusty Hardin to be his defense.
I wonder what kind of charges he will be looking at. Guess it all depends on the severity of her injuries but I’d guess a couple serious felonies since there was strangulation and broken bones.
Absolutely. The Rockets bear some blame in this situation and honestly owe the fans, and now KPJ's victim, an apology. This may have never happened if they had handled him correctly.
So, I did a bit of Googling, and I can't find any examples of KPJ ever getting into a fight with another man... The food throwing incident is not well described, in fact there are two stories that get conflated: There is soup-throwing story about JR Smith (not KPJ), aimed at Damion Jones, and that one is well detailed, even to the fact that it was chicken tortilla soup... KPJ story is just that he threw food... But at whom? Did he actually target another man, wanting to start a fight? Or was that just a hissy-fit? Bottomline is there are stories about KPJ hitting women and throwing food, but I am not seeing a story about getting into an actual fight with a man. Looks to me the guy is just a little hysterical b__ch in a man's body...
That's why I said from "from the POV of a Rockets fan"... Domestic violence is a problem in general, and this is a bad incident, for the girl, her family, KPJ etc... But doesnt impact the team that much, is what I am saying...
He's too stupid to last long in this world. Hoped he wouldn't ruin it for himself, but my guess is that Houston won't put up with this one. I'm sure he will make a comeback at some point, but he's probably done for a while.
Right it was clear. I dont get the shock at all. This exactly. Anytime we ever brought up anything concerning about KPJ we were then attacked by DD. Now with something undeniable and DD having to be held accountable for how he acts on this board then he is a "Victim" who is being picked on. Just like we were all just picking on KPJ by bringing up what a damn nutcase he seems to be.
So when people were constantly crapping on him. And DD defends him, you use this thread as some sort of vindication that you were right about him being what? A woman beater? Ok cool. No was predicting that. DD was wrong about him, and now you are also wrong for doing this gotcha moment in this thread.
Which is BS. I'm not like the most informed Rockets fan ever, but I would think that it's something I would have known about. It always came off as hearsay, and was dismissed as locker room silliness. Everyone in his professional basketball life has some responsibility here for not getting this young man some help, and instead enabling him by covering up for him, and not doing what needs to done to get him some help. Now someone is hurt, and sounds like pretty seriously. The NBA still has alot of work to do. Mental health is nothing to joke with, and mixing it with professional sports & millions of dollars can equal disaster. Not doing anything about it is one thing, but cover up for it, and enabling it like the Rockets look have been doing... is abhorrent.
A woman was abused and the Rockets just got worse today, if you choose to celebrate that all you are doing is telling everyone what type of person you are AND that you are too dumb to know you should hide it.
Man, I REALLY liked KPJ as a person and player. I feel like this kid has some trauma that needs to be addressed and was rooting for him to have a successful career here but that looks like its over. Basketball wise, thank goodness Stone lucked out and got Cam Whitmore, this is a great opportunity for him.
the rockets are better without this ridiculous scrub. and this bbs would be better without his 55IQ dumbfuk fans
Unfortunately the trauma will be addressed in prison now. The Rockets and others in his life the missed the opportunity to get him the help he needed when there was time. Now I hate to say it but he'll likely be a product of our justice system. If he's guilty of what he's accused, he's going to do some hard time. Likely at Rikers Island too I would assume given where the crime took place.
