DeMeco Ryans says overall the offense “wasn’t clean enough of an operation.” (Jalen) “We’ll see how he’s doing.” (getting tests)
i.e: More Tank Dell get the ****ing plays in faster, Slowik no more pre-snap penalties see what the passrush is doing and adjust the blocking as needed don't call crap plays on 4th and short More Tank Dell
Stroud was so much better than I expected. The Texans got their franchise QB. The O line was pure garbage and the receivers aren’t much better. But Stroud was composed and elusive in the pocket. He was a little inaccurate at times but that looked like a combination of first game jitters and running for his life. I don’t see that as a long term problem. When the line gets healthy, he will be fun to watch.
This game was about what I expected. Hostile environment. Decimated O line. Was disappointed we didn't run the ball more. But, I saw flashes. If Petrie is ok this D is going to be nice. This team will look much better next week at home
Rookie coach, rookie OC, rookie QB, rookie backup C, banged up OL, tough opponent on the road - not concerned with the offense under those circumstances. The system is proven plus no interceptions is great to see. Things are definitely looking up.
Props to you man! If we don't commit that penalty and they kick the extra point you would have been spot on!
Congratulations Will Anderson, for being the first Texans rookie to get a sack in his first NFL game. Looking forward to seeing more in the future.
I like Brett Kollman as much as the next guy, but anything more than 6 wins for this squad with so many rookies and new coaches is wishful thinking at best.
