Megadeath. To be fair, its still the death lineup with Chas in LF and Meyers (or Dubon) in CF with Brantley sitting because they're presumably facing a lefty. Also, nobody really thought Brantley would be back this year... let alone making a huge impact. Yes, the Astros actually have two versions of a death lineup that should be scaring anybody in a playoff series where there are days off and chances to really customize the lineup any which way to kill the opposing pitchers.
Should swap Abreu and Chas. Just look at the OPS of each guy. Chas OPS at .885 and he’s hitting 8th. Abreu even at .700 yet? Dusty hates Chas Chas .888 Abreu .665
Honestly, with the lineup today you probably could put them in any order and still be productive. Matter of fact, maybe even switch all postiions c Yordan 2b Diaz 3b McCormick cf Pena 1b Brantley lf Altuve dh Pena rf Bregman ss Tucker
Oh and Diaz 9th lol should be Altuve Chas Alvarez Tucker Bregman Diaz Brantley Abreu Pena or switch Bregs and Chas if you like
Yep. Though, this is the lineup, with the caveat I prefer some of the better hitters higher, that should be used 2/3s of the time as more often than not, it should score more runs than the opponent if given enough opportunities.
Everyone should be happy Dusty even put out this lineup. When's the last time it happened? It's just fan service at this point. Enjoy it.
The Astros seem to have a legacy of under performing against pitchers I have never heard of. The Duster is banking on this.
