@Space Ghost will support Musk, whatever Musk does, no matter how obvious the wrong Musk does. In my opinion, naturally.
Meanwhile .... (For those who refuse to read the whole tweet, Starshield will be owned by the US government... which is what you warmongers have been asking for)
There aren’t American troops involved, Americans are not dying - and if Russia is stopped from taking Ukraine it may well prevent American troops being involved when Putin decides he wants Poland and other former Soviet Bloc areas.
Exaggerate much? First, Russia invaded Ukraine - that always seems to be forgotten. Second, Ukraine can win - they can expel the Russians. Hell there has already been one attempted overthrow of Putin. So the assumption that Ukraine cannot win is false. Third, no one has to talk Ukraine into defending their own homeland from Russian invaders. They are making the decision to fight and are not cowards. Fourth, no one is advocating for the USA to pour 100’s of thousands of troops into Ukraine to attack Russia.
Yeah and Putin is Hitler and Stalin rolled into one. Anyone who wants peace negotiations without total withdrawal of Russia from every inch of Ukraine territory is that evil appeaser Neville Chamberlain. Arm chair warriors should consider signing up for mine clearance or other combat duties in Ukraine. Prediction: in not too many years Ukrainians will not be happy with the price they paid while losing even more territory and perhaps not even getting into NATO, which the US insisted was non-negotiable from before the major war started in February 2022..
You were wrong about Russia, a lot of you far left types were because that meant the Establishment was right about Russia. Your hyperbole doesn't mask that fact.
Can you name a single country where the people later regretted fighting for their freedom? I find it bizarre that you think this is controversial. Russia doesn't get veto power on who joins an alliance that they have nothing to do with any moreso than the US has veto power over who Russia or China ally with.
Too bad we can't ask all those civilizations and/or countries that have been wiped and/or removed from history. I am not suggesting Ukraine will end up like this, but at the competency of which this war is being engaged in, the probability certainly increases each day. And the US has no veto power over Russia invading non ally countries, but we certainly act like it.
You do realize the actual people in those countries mostly survived, right? The vast majority of invasions in world history don't involve 100% genocide. Since when is supporting a friend in a time of need acting like having veto power? I don't think you understand the idea of veto power. That said, the big giant international organization to which Russia is an active member has both said Russia has no right to invade Ukraine and that they have committed war crimes. That's as close to any semblance of international law we have, and members who've agreed with that claim include a bunch of countries that are not US allies.
What's the Russian rationale that Donbas, Donetsk, and Crimea are actually Russian states and not Ukrainian? That there are significant Russian language speakers in those states? Could that same logic be applied to the Southern States and Mexico? The languages are similar but also distinct. "It is no nation that we inhabit, but a language. Make no mistake; our native toungue is our true fatherland." It's important to acknowledge that Russia colonized all parts of its empire with Russian speaking peoples. While not a deliberate genocide, the native cultures were deliberately displaced. Crimea "belongs" to the Tatars, not the Russians. The Kirch straight connects to what was formerly Circassia and those populations too were deliberately removed by Russian. Now the Russians are kidnapping Ukrainians in the occupied territories. The Russian Empire, even during its brief foray into Sovietism, is a permanent stain on humanity.
Nah - Putin isn’t Hitler and Stalin rolled up in one, he is a dictator though, that has invaded a sovereign nation AGAIN and is attempting to take over Ukraine. Also, unlike the Ukrainians that want to defend their country and culture - Russia is forcing Russian men to fight in Ukraine, when they have zero interest in doing so. Also there is no point to negotiations from the perspective of Ukrainians, has Russia has already stolen parts of their country twice before and there is zero reason to trust Russia won’t lie and invade them again whenever they feel like it. No one is making or forcing Ukrainians to fight for their country. It perhaps isn’t something you understand, but a lot of people do not want to be ruled by their enemy, to lose their culture and freedoms and jobs. As for clearing mines - if someone invades the United States, and attempts to take over the country and kills Americans and tortures my countrymen - then I will clear mines if that is what is needed. War isn’t something to be taken lightly - there is death and despair and lots of violence and destruction - but defending your country and culture and family isn’t for nothing. While being a Warhawk or gung-ho war groupie is disgusting - so is abject cowardice.
This is easy to say coming from a country with the most guns per capita. No country will be invading the US in your lifetime and you know this.
Okay? Is this supposed to mean something? This isn’t hard - Ukrainians have seen their country invaded again and they want to defend their country.
According to you Ukrianians have the full right to defend themselves (they do I agree) and peace talks is useless but at the same time biden and democrats are useless people bcz gas prices and interest rates are high lol. According to your own words democrats are more useless today than ever because of high gas prices even though they passed more legislation than any other term. Everyone want ukraine to be free while they have cheap gas and cheap interests rates. Biden will never win in this war. It's a lose lose situation. You get **** on economically at home by the same folks who are " Pro ukraine." You can't be "Pro ukraine" and then b**** about gas prices which 99% of Americans do.
If Biden abandoned all that "woke bullshit" and went just a little MAGA to placate the fence sitters, he could really ensure a win next time around. What are all the "wokies" going to do, vote for Trump?
If it wasn't for elon musk ukraine wouldn't even be in the position they're in right now. Instead of blaming elon musk we should ask ourselves why the Obama admin cut funding for DAPRA and other research programs during the same period musk came up with Starlink? It's not a private citizens job to uphold foreign policy. Blame the neoliberal administration's of the past which cut funding at a time when we should've been spending
