:"If the US imperialists hadn't supplied Ukraine with markets, Russia wouldn't have had to blow it up with a ballistic missile" - antiwar utilitarian counterfactual GODBRO
if the US supplied Ukraine with F16s a year ago this would not be an issue. why do support a president who acquiesces to murdered Ukrainian babies?
@SamFisher do you now, or have you and your fellow travelers ever, recognized Wagner as a terrorist organization?
They really aren't a terrorist organization though. It sort of undermines the designation if the West just classifies every "Bad Guy" as the same because you fight against different bad guys differently. Wagner is essentially guns for hire. Criminals who are out of jail because they made a deal to go kill people in exchange for getting out of jail. The Wagner leadership (before they were mostly killed off by Putin in a Red Wedding scenario) was doing what they were doing for money. But make no mistake... Wagner is an evil organization, and the world is better off with them taken out. They were mostly tasked with being hired guns for corrupt dictators in Africa who were in danger of Coups, or in danger of a democratic election taking them out of power the right way. Terrorists use violence as a means to enact political change to further an ideology, religion, or cult of personality. Of course many times Terrorist organizations use an ideology or religion as a cover for what they really are which in the end isn't all that different at the top. ... My guess is the reason for the designation was because of the CIA, and some levers from an intelligence perspective that this designation could have cut off.
Now that MTG and Gaetz and the right-wing extremists have threatened not to sign off on any additional aid for Ukraine if they don't get there way on the government shutdown, will conservative gop members who know better go along with them or will they stand up and do the right thing? They are grasping at straws but one of these days they will get a win and that will be friggin scary ............I hate that they play politics with these issues but they do. There has to be a better way just to approve the payment that we have already agreed upon but now they want to renege on the deal

Watching the video, it's easy to see how being under Russian artillery fire while clearing mines using that method would be more than a little difficult, to say the least. It's one of the numerous reasons why we have been supplying Ukraine with counter-battery systems since 2015, and both the US and our allies really ramped up the supply of those systems (based on radar that pin-points where Russian artillery is firing from, with that information immediately given to the Ukrainian counter-battery, which out-ranges Russian artillery), which is methodically destroying Russia's artillery batteries. Below is a message sent by a Russian general to his superior. This is from TheDrive.com in their Warzone section. A good source. Example: Russian accounts of the fighting seem to corroborate a growing Ukrainian artillery advantage in some regard. Former separatist commander Aleksandr Khodakovsky opined that Russian artillery can neither suppress the Ukrainian guns nor compete with their longer range. Ivan Popov, a top Russian general, was fired recently after laying into Defense Minister Shoigu about how poorly the war is being ran from headquarters, highlighted the lack of Russian counter-battery fire capabilities, in particular. We will talk more about the general's dismissal in a moment. Some of Ukraine's counter-battery fire has relied upon western-supplied long-range precision artillery, most notably the GMLRS. The GPS-guided Excalibur artillery round, of which thousands have been donated to Ukraine, are also prized weapons for quickly taking out pinpointed enemy batteries with high certainty. The U.S. has also provided counter-battery radars beginning in 2015. Spoiler More at the link below: https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zo...eport-kyivs-growing-counter-battery-advantage
