That's a long time to hold out promotions. I hope the Military and Vets vote against the GOP for these kinds of stunts. As for Trump, well it's straight from his mouth that he wants to insert loyalists in positions of high authority to bend to his beckon call, and that includes Generals who will be Trump first, vs country first. He's said he wants military leaders who are loyal to him like they were Hitler. He would probably love statues around the country of him and his own Trump salutes as well.
It's baffling how ignorant of a statement that is. That football coach who just proved how ignorant he is knowing nothing about the poetry written in war by those in battle since before he was born. Patriotic war poems were often written to celebrate and inspire, & put into songs and marches, still used today. World War I brought a flood of new poetry by soldiers who wrote from the trenches. Whether glorifying war or reviling it, soldier poets often discovered their voices in the trenches. Tuberville is an ignorant fool, just like so many other MAGA Republicans.
