His rambling stories is what makes him a good retail politician. Ive met him a few times when he was VP and he talks more than anyone you know to random strangers as well. He knows how to relate to everyone which is why hes been successful dealing with congress. He holds no grudges
So his story that “corn pop was a bad man!” Makes him relatable and a good retail Politician and not Abe Simpson with a mic? I’ve never met Joe Biden but from everything I’ve seen he does do retail politics well and enjoys it. Maybe too much sometimes. He’s the anti Ron DeSantis. My understanding of his success in the senate isn’t beside of long rambling stories or forced folksiness but that he knows the rules and the players very well. He’s a skilled and knowledgeable negotiator. That’s not my overall point though. The idea that he’s simultaneously a doddering fool and a political mastermind can’t both be true.
You're right. It makes more sense if he said it was the second richest rather than the 19th richest. If that guy who helped run TARP is now disqualified, then here's a former chairman of the FDIC claiming it's a bailout The feds’ move to guarantee all deposits at the doomed Silicon Valley Bank was “clearly” a bailout, according to a former chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. William Isaac, who served as FDIC chair from 1981 to 1985 during the Reagan administration, questioned whether federal regulators went too far with their move to backstop depositors. “Well, clearly it is [a bailout],” Isaac said during a Monday appearance on Bloomberg Television. “It’s not a bailout of the shareholders – they’re getting wiped out and that’s great, they should be, and the managers and the directors are losing their jobs. That’s fine, they should be.” “I can’t criticize them for deciding to bail out all the depositors, because I’ve done that myself at the FDIC, but I really wonder whether there was something we might have done that was less dramatic and less of a bailout,” Isaac added.
You claimed taxpayers had bailed them out as you were comparing biden and obamas "bailout." Keep twisting facts. Us tax payers didn't bail out any banks under biden. That's a fact and at some point you will accept it
You guys might be overthinking Joe Biden. He’s just a creature of the past in DC and an old school senator who seemed to have modeled his approach after LBJ. He’s experienced with negotiating Bi partisan bills and has the relationships across the isle to get people in a room in Congress. Doesn’t mean he is or isn’t a fool just as Rodman knowing how to rebound, defend, and block shots doesn’t mean he’s was a bad NBA player because he didnt know the Princeton sets and couldn’t pass out of the high post like Pau Gasol. Joe Biden just is who he is. He shouldn’t be overhyped as the anointed one and he also shouldn’t be counted out just because of his liabilities. When in reality all things considered.. flaws and all… he’s still likely the best president we’ve had in decades.
In the book that just got released it talks about a moment where kamala , Joe and Roger Marshall ( senator from Kansas) were in the room negotiating the infrastructure bill and kamala made a bad joke about Kansas football nd the senator left the meeting. Biden had to call his wife and apologize and got him on board. Passing legislation is the hardest thing in the world to do esp with all the different personalities dueling at once
I did mention that if you could prove a claim that you're calling me out about, I could at least respond to it. There's at least two replies that you left dangling, but you keep bringing unfinished threads elsewhere. Context for anyone who cares When I thought we were debating in good faith, I admitted in that chain it wasn't a perfect definition of bailout. You didn't respond nor accept/reject in principle to what you think government interventions of that nature should be defined as, and instead latched onto that politically charged word. Now I get random mentions by you in other threads presumably as a way to "shame me" for being pedantically wrong. Serious question, are you getting paid for posting pro-Biden crap exclusively on D&D? I feel I've wasted a bit of time on you nutsacks, and since you like accusing folks without verifying, here's my theory: You do not "own" a healthcare company but you're close to it, probably a son or Fredo cousin. Anyone who does sales would not exhibit a thin skin or weird anti-social behavior like you. Your "creative" insults of other people remind me of Don Jr posts on Truth Social. Maybe you have "one job", but you waste time here constantly because you're a nepo baby or someone way too neglected for their own good.
The guy who has 42k posts talks about others spending time on here lolololol. I spend less time on here than 90% of others. And I don't give a **** what you think of me or what I do. I don't give a **** who likes my posts or who ignores me. I only come here to piss away time and interact with MAGAT crowd. Feel free to put me on ignore. I sincerely don't give a ****. You have no idea what you're talking about
Yeah the guy is good at what he does even at his age. It’s like Astro’s fans saying they are worried about Verlanders age and health… well no sh&t… we need Verlander to pitch twice in 7 days in the playoffs just like Democratic voters need Biden to get legislation passed that affects our lives. Just because we are worried about Verlanders age and health doesn’t mean we want to trade him and 4 1st round picks for Jack Flaherty. That’s what pundits and the media don’t really understand about Biden voters and the polling.
https://x.com/natesilver538/status/1699761444915396810?s=46&t=GknL_ovWy1bSSNewBYPDWA This is an important contextual point and should put to bed this notion that somehow Trump is more appealing magically when just 12 months ago he led a historical embarrassment with his mid term campaigns as well as his being indicted on 91 accounts. The fact is Biden is polling low because he’s old. Being old and Dem voters being concerned about that does NOT mean they are magically going to change their views on Trump, abortion, preserving democracy, guns, etc. Nothing has changed in this country to make Trumps chances more likely. Only thing that’s changed is Biden is getting old and Dem voters are concerned for his health and being able to do the job if he has a fall or something.

It's funny how folks are pissing their pants about his age while he's casually traveling the world signing historic deals. He's signing epic deals while folks wet their pants about his age @AroundTheWorld @Os Trigonum Folks have no idea how historic the agreement with Vietnam is.
CNN who's ratings are down by 70% since trump era and who have gone through 3 different CEOS and a failed CNN+ don't want biden?!? Wow! No way I wonder why? People are so naive
