I dont care too much when Maldy starts for Valdez and JV, not saying I like it, but it only looks okay when everyone else covers for him offensively. When Astros are struggling to score, and Maldy comes up and GIDPs, twice, like he did today...it'll only accentuate his deficiencies and pisses people off.

I really hope he doesn't catch 3/4 games in the playoffs...only Valdez and JV.

All things considered, this might be the greatest series (regular season) in franchise history.

    - Rangers were "good"
    - Rangers were ahead all season
    - Rangers are Dallas
    - Stat-pad with multiple records set

Had to bring in our closer just to keep him busy.

What a comprehensive ass kicking this was, downright pornographic.

Actually, I don't care. But he seems to give up HR's at critical times. Maybe it is my imagination.

The greatest series in Astros history was back in 1978 when a fan named Midget Malone jumped onto the field, pushed the pitcher out of the way and threw a perfect strike to end the game. Too bad he didn't survive the security teams tackle. He could've been a good scab in the years to follow.

The Astros have won 10 of their last 12 on the road while losing 9 of their last 11 at home. They’ve got a **** ton of home games coming up. It’s time to overcome whatever curse is at MMP.

Then yea. We are not tied. Both teams 61 losses and mariners have won the season series. Then we are down a game. Loss column is all that matters.

we have 9 against kc and the a’s. If we don’t take 6 or 7. Good grief. Mariners and rangers have 7. Good. Beat each other up. Maybe Texas fights and takes 4. Each team takes on losses. Destiny could be in the Astros hands. Seattle series looms large for us and the Orioles are not an teasy task.

Just thinking ahead. If we pull off the division and stay ahead of the twins do we get the bye or the Rays with the 2nd best record ?
