Or Hammers fans! My in-laws are huge Arsenal fans, they, needless to say, are very happy with the signing and the result over United. #UTFT
Anyway, let's praise Christ for a job well done again last night. Great victory. Let's get a damn sweep today and stay ahead of the Ms and Rangers.
@Buck Turgidson. I generally like your antagonistic point of view. All talk boards have them and I tend to do a rye smile when I read your posts, which there are many. I suspect we are in the same demographic I'm 56. so I get many of your subtle references, which I enjoy. But when you start calling people idiots, morons, and such you posts loose a certain amount of integrity. Again in many ways I like what you add to the board, but 99% on this forum are all rooting for the same team and same outcomes. i know you don't care what I or anybody says about you or your posts, and its OK to disagree even have a dust up, but name calling and belittling is not why I come here.
Thank You. Two extra games and if the Mariners win, we lose the Division. But they cannot un-lose the games already lost. It's a subtle way of distinguishing a preference for MAGIC NUMBER over Standings.
Buck claimed he was sober too. So consider this particular interaction as sound mind and body. The Astros are NOT in first place... LMAO. Somebody really said that -- not once but thrice
Seattle's pitching has an inherit disadvantage by having fewer games off on their schedule. Maybe Servais benches a healthy Julio like Dusty did Tucker too.
The Astros are in 1st place but haven't won crap. Think if it as lap 140 of a 162 lap race. If some tragedy stopped the season right now and remaining games were canceled the Astros would win. But since the chances of that are the same chances of Dusty starting Diaz at catcher the next 20 games, it doesn't matter. The Mariners hold the tiebreaker and do not have more losses than the Astros, so they still control their own destiny. The Astros must finish the season with fewer losses, not equal to or less. If both teams were to win out the Mariners would win the division despite the Astros being in first place now. Of course they play each other and there are no ties so this can't happen. But if they didn't play each other and both teams went on 22+ game winning streaks to end the season the Mariners win the division. Even if the Astros don't lose another game. So like a team winning a game on opening day before the others play, being in first really doesn't mean anything. But yes the Astros are in first place.
Jared Sandler on 105.3 in Dallas on the radio said MM is the biggest fraud and Astros pitchers being good isn’t because of MM at all. He was praising Yanier Diaz and saying he will be a problem but when Mm is on the lineup card, it’s a delight to opposing teams. Also refused to predict that the Astros will win the west
