We are on the verge to finally see this lineup:

    Altuve
    Pena
    Alvarez
    Bregman
    Tucker
    Abreu
    Brantley
    Diaz
    McCormick

The win column is constantly talked about.....

    100-win seasons
    20-game winners
    300 Wins

The fact Seattle has played fewer games but needs more wins is technically a detriment... Why?... Increased pitching usage without rest. You already knew that. That's why pitching in the postseason has a difference vs regular season. More days off between games. More rest.

But guess what?.. If your homie Dusty would've played Tucker vs Seattle on Sunday instead of a AAA player, the Astros would likely be an extra 2 games ahead right now whether you consider it Loss column or Win.

Be rigid for the homies' sake.

Astros last 28 games (exactly 1 month):

    6.7 runs per game

Problem is we only went 16-12 during this span. That should be 20-8 at a minimum.

Abreu and Brantley should be 8th and 9th in this lineup.

That's how amazing this lineup is.

Exactly. Listen to the alcohol you're on.

All I've said is facts you already know. But since you're feeling a certain way, your response will be illogical. Just like Dusty with Singleton PH'ing for Chas and Maldy's 120 GP.

    Everyone will thank later.

Astros odds of making the playoffs have now jumped to 93%.

Odds of winning the division is 56%, which is a bit surprising given the fact that the 3rd place team is only 2 games behind.

Abreu 44 RBIs in his last 59 games, you sure he should be batting 8th?

That's a 121 RBI season. Sounds like he should be batting higher than 6th, actually.

That's how good this lineup is.

Diaz is pacing for one of greatest offensive seasons by a catcher. Abreu hasn't seen a mere .700 OPS since Chicago.

We're splitting hairs somewhat. Maldy is incoming.

Seattle needs to carry on 2 more victories with limited rest for its pitching staff.

Good job ignoring Tucker for the AAA player.

    Thanking Dusty now and later.

Brantley doesn't seem to have lost a step so far. I wouldn't be mad if he was 6 or 7

Edit: It just dawned on me that Brantley hasn't played either game in the series. Maybe they don't want him in a bigger outfield or something

Seriously, I'm curious and then I'm done, since I never mentioned either person: what do Tucker and Dusty have ****all to to with anything I just posted about team wins/losses?

Dusty and Tucker affect wins and losses.

    Should be obvious.

You gotta love Bregman’s game. If you love baseball, you love his game. Offense and defense and his grind it out, focused approach. He is a true student of the game. He might be my favorite Astro ever. He’s not perfect. The slow starts. Too many groundouts. Too many double plays and pop ups. Generally though, he works counts and grinds out those hits and walks. He hits in big moments. He is the perfect Astro and his game would’ve translated to any era in my life. He’s a great role model for my son too. If he had played in the 80’s, he probably would’ve been my fave back then. I was obsessed with scrappy infielder types such as Doran, Thon, Reynolds etc
