Yeah, it’s hard for old people to get into/understand newer styles. My dad said the same thing about rap music back in the day.
I have the Interrupters as a current band and they differ some from Humble Pie and Black Sabbath. I have mentioned them quite a bit lately and unless I missed it, I don't remember you liking them. There is a Singer from decades ago that I will dig up to see what you think. BRB
I actually saw them last year with Tiger Army, they were a fun band. That said, they are the same style ska punk that’s been around for 40 years. I wouldn’t call their style new, but nice try old timer.
I don't know how old your Father is, but he might be familiar with this song.. Sort of in between Motown and Disco.
In regards to Old Timers, they are the ones doing quite a bit of the heavy lifting in this thread to keep it moving forward. You might not like most of what we post, but we do go back and forth across the decades with the idea that something we post will eventually be appreciated.
That’s cool man, I’m a lover of music old and new, and lots of different styles. Hell, I'm going to see Depeche Mode this fall but then also going to see Lil Yachty. Here's some more new stuff that might not appeal to you.
