maybe it has no bearing at all but you would think this kind of **** would have repercussions long term as far as young players wanting to play for the Astros
I understand keeping Yordan at DH with his knee injury but I would've liked Brantley at LF with Chas at CF. But Dubon's bat was scorching hot yesterday so I guess it's not too bad. I hope this doesn't become a regular thing though.
Dubon is an everyday player now, once he had a few good games that was etched in stone. No other player on the team gets remotely that treatment for a brief hot spell. A Framber start is the perfect start to have Brantley or Yordan in LF, but nope, gotta have his boy in there. I long accepted that Diaz was gonna sit at least one of these games with Verlander/Framber going, but now it looks like he's gonna sit twice because no way Brantley and Yordan don't both play tomorrow. **** this guy.
No Brantley or Diaz.. Add Abreu and Dubon. Overall, I think a decent guess. 1 Altuve 2B 2 Pena SS 3 Alxarez* DH 4 Bregman 3B 5 Tucker* RF 6 Abreu 1B 7 McCormick LF 8 Dubon CF 9 Maldonado C
They didn't want Yordan or Brantley playing on that shitty turf so that limits the options. Yordan, Brantley, and Diaz can't all DH. Diaz could play 1B but with a ground ball pitcher that's tough. Maybe Diaz starts at 1B tomorrow. We b**** and moan but we know Maldy will start for Valdez and JV...
There's nothing wrong with Brantley's knees, and Framber is pitching so LF may not even get a ball all night, and we have a day off after tomorrow.
We are going up against a righty, so Dustball benches Diaz for Maldy. But then he points to bullshit numbers about R/L when pinch hitting singleton for chas. The manager is a clown, folks. If you are still even 10% on board with this a$$hole, you are a clown too. You should be punched square in the face for being as dumb as you are.
Dubon gets hits when he's surrounded by studs but his offensive potential is cut in half when Maldy is behind him.
