    New York don’t want ‘em
    Chicago don’t want ‘em
    California don’t want ‘em
    Martha’s Vineyard don’t want ‘em

    LOL

    “Sanctuary city”
    “Hate has no home here”
    “No one is illegal”

    Looks nice on a yard sign until they actually show up.

    Who is ‘they’
    @J.R.
    You are making assumptions that all illegal immigration is leading to productive work

    what about the legal immigrants? The ones who have work visas and green cards and do it the right way ?
    @Salvy

    People of Chicago aren’t happy
    But that’s not the ‘they’ you are talking about

    To be fair, you can't expect a city to just have hundreds/thousands of people bussed in and dropped off with no coordinated plan of action, no city can do that. There are so many cities in the Midwest that need this type of labor, but the maga extreme don't care about that, they just wanna get a gotcha moment. If they would work with companies like Swift, Tyson and other large plants that can't find workers because the Americans who live there dont want the work for the pay. Hell, I bet Florida could use a bus load or two to help with the clean up.............but this isnt about helping your fellow man, its just a political point and that to me is pathetic.

    What I truly expect is Mayorkas to do his job in the first place which he has failed at immensely- the link I posted above is ridiculous on key points as far as failure and was actually a year old so it's gotten even worse

    is Mayorkas truly this inept at his job or is it a case of intented consequences by the Biden administration to allow undocumented immigrants lax or easier passage for political points and it backfiring?

    I am in agreement that we need to do better, and to be transparent it's the same issue we continue to have no matter if it's a R or D in the WH. So what is the gop plan, I only hear complaints but never a partisan solution or conversation, it's too easy to keep this as a problem so both sides can argue that their way is better and at the end of the day nothing really gets accomplished. I don't give AF about whose way is better, if both sides don't sit down and figure this out, it will be the same tired issue in another 10 years.

    I get so tired of everyone complaining but no one ever does anything rational...........build a wall and make Mexico pay for it was a farce and not only did it not get done but people are being indicted for creating a "Build the wall" fund raiser.............nice job Bannon for getting pardoned over that one

    I won't call your outrage, "faux outrage" but I do believe both sides do this for political points depending on who is in the WH.

    Literally 10's or even 100's of thousands of immigrants a year settle in those cities.

    The real barrier is actually the critical lack of housing stock, which is a totally different problem that has huge implications for all economic activity.

    That's the actual constraint on immigration rather than lack of jobs or whatever. Like I've said, as America's population ages and the MAGA dead enders like @basso and @Os Trigonum start to age into assisted living facilities, if they're not actually already there, guess who is going to do the work to keep their soiled bedclothes clean. Not ChatGPT, that's for sure.

    Sure, there's a limit to what people can tolerate. Nobody likes the humanitarian disaster of shelter beds getting overhwhelmed in NY or whatever

    But , you know, if you dont' like that, ti doesnt' turn you nto a virulent alt-right racist piece of ****, or a closet white supremacist, like @Os Trigonum fave Richard Harania.

    @ROXRAN is showing a physical property of the laws of quantum mechanics with "schrodinger's sanctuary city".

    Cities full to the brim of illegal migrants being protected by the leftist city governments not allowing ICE to do their work and yet at the same time these same cities push away migrants forcing the poor border states to fend for themselves
