I want Yainer catching at least 60 games a season because his value is so much higher and he contributes so much more to lengthening the lineup when he is catching. But having a player good enough to pair with him makes it easier to keep his load light. A guy who can catch 90 games and hit reasonably well let’s them deploy Yainer in an ideal way which to me is 60 games at catcher, 30 at DH (as the primary backup to Yordan), and 30 at 1B and/or LF as the primary backup there.
