Insanely frustrating that we're not putting out the best possible line-up, especially in a desperate situation. Braves have nothing to really play for anymore since they will easily be #1 seed of the NL but Acuna, Olson, Riley, Murphy, Arcia, Albies still play every game possible and have hardly missed any games. Snitker doesn't dick around...inspiring line-ups lead to inspiring play. This team looks dead, AT HOME, on NATIONAL TV. Embarrassing all around.
This is why you do that load management early, so you can play the last 30 games with your best lineup. Astros deserve what they get if they don't make the playoffs. Should have fired Dusty at the all star break. If you're bold enough to fire Click after winning the series....shoulda fired Dusty as soon as it got so out of hand with the moronic managing this year.
Players are human. They can't say anything. But they know their manager isn't giving them their best chance either Can say whatever you want, but they are human, and if their leader don't care, it doesn't exactly push them to excellence
Dusty's incompetence has gotten to the point where it's reflecting on Dana Brown and Jim Crane. What you tolerate is what you deserve to get. And it sets the tone. When the team is struggling to score runs and win, you can't bench Yainer Diaz and Chas McCormick -- two of the top 25 hitters (OPS) in the AL. These guys should play EVERY DAY. Especially in crucial games down the stretch -- such as this. Unbelievable. Dusty is a stubborn man, unwilling to change and now is out to prove a point...and it's not working. Time for Crane and Dana Brown to step in. This can't continue.
This man will only play 1 game this upcoming all important series. Maldy is at the very end of this list.
Yes, I have to believe that based on Dana’s comments. If not, I will be shocked and my faith in the FO will finally be questioned. That said, it reminds me of the Cowboys situation with Zeke last year where they continued using him as the starter and giving him more carries than Pollard while the FO, coaching staff, etc. continued doing mental gymnastics (intangibles, pass blocking, etc.) how it made sense. Then they cut his ass and no one wanted him… The same thing will happen with Maldy. It’s wild to think he probably wouldn’t start for another team but there’s 25 other teams that would be starting Diaz.
We don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes, but regardless the more you tell Dusty not to do something, the more he’s going to do it. Just look at his past history with other teams. Regarding his time here, it took Click trading Myles Straw for him to stop playing him. There’s nothing Dana Brown can tell him right now. If Dusty has taken the mindset that this is his last year, whether that be because he sees the writing on the wall or he just wants to retire, then Jim Crane can’t tell him nothing either. They have zero leverage over him and he knows it. And like I said earlier, they realistically can’t fire him at this point in the season, and if anyone truly thinks otherwise, than they’re as dense as Dusty. It’s a f***** up situation and unfortunately we are just going to have to live with it.
Dusty’s contract expires after this season, does it not? It would be an organization malpractice if Crane and Dana retain him

In all likelihood, Crane will have ultimate control of Baker’s future. “I actually respect that in Dusty,” Brown said. “It’s like ‘Hey, let me do what I’m doing and we’ll talk at the end of the season.’ He hasn’t said a word and I haven’t said a word to him about it.”
If Dusty can be handcuffed in the playoffs, he can be handcuffed anytime. Missing the playoffs will cost Crane money and embarrassment. It might already be too late to rest anyone going in, which already hurts our chances to repeat.
