Okay. I'm not as familiar with specific to how he treated players with Cinci. I just find it weird then that he was/is considered universally beloved throughout the league if he also has that kind of reputation.
Corea DOES need to turn it around because he's had a very subpar season for his standard but he's been largely responsible for 2-3 Rangers losses within the past week, including last night scoring the go-ahead RBI in extra innings. He's still looking out for his former team even if it's not intentional.
Dusty Baker said the Astros “projections” show Mauricio Dubón is a projected Gold Glove center fielder if he played every day. Baker was worried about McCormick and Meyers’ glove and said “that’s why we have Dubón up here” to take those CF reps. Baker continued, “The way we've handled it, the way I've handled it, they'll all thank me, the city will thank me and the organization will thank me later.”
He was ran out of town on some of the former teams he's managed. That man is known to be as stubborn as a bull.
Yeah I know he is stubborn and has had very questionable roster decisions, but I hadn't heard of any vindictive or petty undertones behind them until this board.
We've lost 7 of the last 9 games at home. "Then, as the Reds drifted, then nose-dived late in the year, Baker insisted there was no need for urgency."
If the Mariners and Rangers lose today, get ready for the Astros to lose to. That's how they've been rolling this season. Not getting my hopes up with them and this current manager.
Everywhere he's been he had players that he singled out, disliked, didn't play, or in some cases, ran into the ground.
Mariners hadn't lost by more than 2 runs in their last 40 games Wild pitches don't get much wilder than that one. And of course he strikes Adolis out on the next pitch.
At what point do the players start to turn on Dusty? That's the only thing I'm afraid of. Like when JJ finally had enough with BOB.
