I can’t find the post, but someone called it. After the blowback re Chas last night, Dusty will just launch a huge FU to the fans by sitting both him and their other favorite cause celebre tonight. It’s personal by a manager who knows he is gone and just wants to go out ”his way”. Crane is a coward for letting this happen.
The Houston media has always been soft… it’s what allowed MLB and the national media to run the cheating scandal story ad nauseam. They wouldn’t have done that to any other market with fear of ostracizing that media base.
So the SP is definitely not as elite has it has been in last few season when the Stros were like a standard deviation better than the rest of the league. They are still top 10 in QS and most pitching stats. They are just not leading the league like they have before. Another overlooked issue is fielding. This the first year since 2017 they are not top 10 in fielding, and most years they were the best in the league. Stats wise this year is closer to 2017, which means it will come down to the offense, but they just don't seem to have the depth there that they will need.
We need a media member to ask Dana Brown about it, all johnnie will do is lie like the b**** he is Me too man He is intentionally putting out lesser lineups just because he can He can go eat a sack of dicks
He is a relief pitcher… and projected to be a bullpen day… but its Javier that is the biggest question mark of all and will likely determine the outcome regardless of all other factors.
What are y'all talking about? Dusty has a reputation as being one of the classiest people in baseball. How else would he get away with stupid line up decisions and all the prior failures before finally winning a WS last year. Even if he were bitter, he would not do what you are saying for the reasons you are saying. HIs benching on Chas would legitimately be because he thinks it is the correct decision.
2 WS and 6 ALCS, and parts of this fan base is already sounding like entitled Yankees fans. Yes I said it. No owner is going to be perfect.
I wish the IRS would have jailed his ass when he cheated them. **** Dusty. He's a vindictive, petty little man and he sucks as a manager
Mets need more runs. I don't trust their pen to hold a 2 run lead. Also Correa needs to turn this around. He needs to get on a 7 game hot streak to help his besties out against the Rangers.
Just play the best players that will give the team it's best chance to win the game. Why is this so hard?
He made GREAT hires when he bought the team. He was by far the best owner in Houston history Now he is letting his "manager" play personal games with a team in the middle of a dynasty Cost to go to a game is 3rd highest in MLB (which doesn't come anywhere close to matching the cost of living comparison) **** him
The way he treats Chas, the way he treats Diaz (because Diaz came over in the trade for Myles Straw) and his record prior to being handed the Astros. The way he treated certain players at Cincinnati, the list goes on and on.
